HuffyTheCampfireSlayer Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Had a Christmas do at the Reebok a few years back - the prices had to be seen to be believed Too right, i swear i was served by dick turpin the other year, still it was very much needed as i was getting freaked out by the rather large man in a spandex suit doing an abba tribute. Makes me shudder everytime i remember it
Burndens Bogs Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 (edited) I was getting freaked out by the rather large man in a spandex suit doing an abba tribute. Makes me shudder everytime i remember it Why? he didn't tamper with you did he? Edited December 13, 2006 by Burndens Bogs
HuffyTheCampfireSlayer Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Why? he didn't tamper with you did he? Only my mind, although i did wonder where spandex suit in my wardrobe had come from the next morning, hmm maybe theres a link
Traf Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Was at park hall for our Christmas do on Saturday night and a bottle of Stella was ??3.50 what is the most you have paid for a beer in the our area? Bought a bird half a lager back in 1991: ended up marrying her. That was by far the most expensive beer I ever bought. Cost me thousands she did: the blood-sucking parasitic bitch.
athywhite1958 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Well done! Twas called The Bridgewater, it's all coming back to me now. It was the Bridgewater, the beer was Ayingeerbrau, you got p'issed from the feet up, there used to be a fleet of taxi's from Athy every Friday neet, happy days!

Cost me thousands she did: the blood-sucking parasitic bitch. You shouldve told her you were homeless, had herpes and asked her to buy you a drink instead!! Do you blokes still buy women drinks?? or have you wisened up to the women who freeload all night whilst you hope you may be getting 'some' at the end of the evening? Apart from my male friends ive never let a bloke buy me a drink- although i have shocked some by buying one for them.
Big City Girl Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Me too. If somebody buys me a drink I ALWAYS buy one back. I know a girl who will happily let a bloke buy her drinks all night then wonder why she can't beat them off with a shitty stick. Even out with my exes I always paid my way (was going to type 'go dutch' but couldn't handle the Fnarr's!!!!!) (By the way I think it would be better to let the girl buy him a drink BEFORE he tells her he's a homeless herpes carrier - just a thought!)
Carlos Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 You shouldve told her you were homeless, had herpes and asked her to buy you a drink instead!! Carlos I'd shag any bird who bought me a drink
Guest squidgy66 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Without magners - a mate of mine local has just been done up in Berkshire - it was 3.20 a pint for stella (f'in expensive - but the going rate) He now has to pay 3 fukin 75!!!
Bea Smith Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 There are some blokes who will happily buy you a drink, have a brief chat and be on their way. However- there are those that either a- buy you a drink, then think they own you, then get offended when you leave their side. or b- think youre a stuck up cow when you refuse the drink. the term 'cant feckin win' springs to mind. If a bloke offers me a drink and i dont like him, i will politely refuse, and be on my way. if im offered a drink by a guy who is ok, then ill either suggest he orders 2 of each drink, ill give him half the money, and that we have a brief chat while we drink em- or- ill thank him for the offer and buy him one instead. Its actually pretty nice to buy a decent guy a bevvy- they just dont expect it. A while ago i was meeting a friend in town and she was- as usual- late. There were a group of blokes watching a match so i asked if i could join them as i felt a right twit on my own. they were fab, didnt take the mick, expect a bonk or anything else. we ended up in rounds ( my mate phoned to cancel), and they even made sure i got safely into a taxi at the end of the night. There are some spankin brilliant blokes out there, but the tosspot minority mean i wont let any guy buy me a beer, unless the 'terms and conditions' are set out clearly!!! Hopefully im just being narrow minded when i think that that 'can i buy you a drink?' translates as ' if i buy you a drink will you bed me?' , then again.............perhaps not.... Do you guys buy gals drinks just for the conversation??
Carlos Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Do you guys buy gals drinks just for the conversation?? And why would we want to do that?
bwfc_sue Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I often find I buy all and sundry a drink when I'm out then wonder where all my dosh went the morning after
buckhurstwhite Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 And why would we want to do that? Correct
Bea Smith Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 And why would we want to do that? At least im not narrow minded!! What sort of sucess rate do you geezers have with the 'drink for a shag' method?? its gotta be worth a try!!!!!
Guest squidgy66 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Do you guys buy gals drinks just for the conversation?? Hell no Have you ever seen that episode of Bottom - "I bought that coca-cola in good faith!"
buckhurstwhite Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Hell no, I once said "I bought that coca-cola in good faith!" You smooth b??stard could never match that
Guest squidgy66 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 You smooth b??stard could never match that Dunno -"you've got lovely hair" seemed to work in Bulgaria - you let yourself down when you drunkenly followed her around stroking in mind ::::::::::::::
Guest as Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Some bird asked me for a drink in BL1 a few month back, I refused & then she bought me one So I had to get her one back, and I was kind enough to include a shot of Aftershock which she drank & almost threw up after :::::::::::::: If she was fit - she'd have got more than an Aftershock But I never buy drinks for some bird who just asks me out of the blue.

Juan.Kerr Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 It was the Bridgewater, the beer was Ayingeerbrau, you got p'issed from the feet up, there used to be a fleet of taxi's from Athy every Friday neet, happy days! Correct on all counts. The Bridgewater (aka t'Stonehill). Sam. Smiths ales. Ayingrebrau, known locally, and further afield it appears as "Green for Go". Pump-head featured a bloke in lederhosen, with a big 'tashe. He was usually blurred, as I recall.
