YATESY
This is the problem of the January window; limited time to strengthen, we are in a desperate position, a club who does not need to sell and we are club with money to spend. Wait until the summer and we could get him for ?2M max BUT we may well not be in the Prem then. We all know the maths - ye ?4.5M is twice as much as he is worth but a drop in the ocean if we stay up when comparing next seasons Prem income v Championship income. One thing to add - we are in danger of fielding a starting a XI with more home grown players than foreigners! Now - when is the last time that happened!!!!!?????? Worsley White #1
thats us fucked then Think he'll opt for Brum if its true thay have matched our offer. Think he'll stay int midlands
Eddie
It will be between us and Brum. Taylor chose us over Sunderland and I'm sure Cahill will do the same. As for Brum they have more chance of dtaying up than Sunderland and he would also be in the Midlands aswel. Personally I think if we offer him a decent wage then he will choose us. Traf
I assume that we can register anyone after the group round then ? new signing Etc At the end of each transfer window, you get the opportunity to lodge a squad of 25 names to cover you until the next window. Campo wasn't registered on September 1st, so couldn't represent us in Europe until Feb 1st at the earliest.

Garrp
Traf I may be wrong, but can you only change upto a maximum of 2? as in you must have 23 of the original 25? Like I say, I might be wrong.
YATESY
At the end of each transfer window, you get the opportunity to lodge a squad of 25 names to cover you until the next window.Campo wasn't registered on September 1st, so couldn't represent us in Europe until Feb 1st at the earliest. Sorry to say 'old wise one' that you are wrong on this one (and Garp is nearly right). From the UEFA website we have: 17.17 For all matches from the start of the round of 32, a club may register amaximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the current competition. Such registration must be completed by 1 February 2008 at the latest. This deadline cannot be extended. 17.18 One player from the above quota of three who has played UEFA club competition matches for another competing club in the current season may exceptionally be registered provided that the player has not been fielded: − in the same competition for another club, − for another club that is currently in the same competition. Furthermore, if the player?s new club is playing in the UEFA Cup, his former club must not have played in the UEFA Cup at any point in the current season. So we can register Campo, Taylor + A N Other but not Steinsson (as he has played for AZ Alkmaar in this seasons UEFA Cup.
scoobydoo
looking dodgy now brum in for him , no need to move sland in , will offer silly money nows the time for gartslime to put up or feck off
enzo gambaro
looking nows the time for gartslime to put up or feck off Hang about. We're already paying over the odds for him on account of his being English and us being desperate. Are you suggesting we should offer him an extra ten grand a week to stop him signing for someone else, or have you seen enough of him to be confident we'll have one of the top three defenders in world football on our hands in three year's time?
