no balls Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I think he was making my general point about new builds, but being more specific. Then I agree, they're not great. Thing is though, they're more often than not on Retail Parks rather than sited in residential areas. If folk are happy for a hideous building to be built in their area then fair play to them. I just don't think I would, irrelevant of whether it be a place of worship or a fast food establishment.
Guest Firthy Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Eh? Do I type things subliminally that I don't realise I have? In a way, yes. You know as well as I do that the reason you point out Mosques as being hideous is because of the group of people that use them. If it was purely for aesthetic reasons you'd understand my point about Tesco, B&Q, McDonalds etc.

That was a quick change of heart!

Then you're wrong. My feelings toward the religion have no correlation with my feelings toward the people so do grow up and stop trying to label me a racist.
no balls Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 That was a quick change of heart! Why? Read my posts and stop being so contrary.

Spider Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Hang on Are you saying that if I register my house as a place of worship I don't have to give the council ?1500 a year for half-emptying my bin? What's the criteria?
Zico Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Is there still a plan for one up Horwich/Rivington ? stick a gold top on top of the tower on rivi pike, let them use that
Whites man Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I heard from probably the same bloke BD got his 36,000,000 mosques in Bolton info from that the minaret tower things are actually missile launchers
Underpants Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 well, I was told..........36,000, in order to take advantage of council tax freedom. Can't be true, can it? I've got one in my living room... I thought everyone had one.
victor meldrew Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Is there still a plan for one up Horwich/Rivington ?yep plans already submitted for a "hotel /golf course" behind bromilow arms, this will fail as a business venture and change into a muslim college. this was the original plan in 2004 and rejected for the reason that the local roads could not sustain the traffic for upto 300 extra vehicles a day at peak times.

What's the criteria? Not quite. You'd pay business rates and your refuse collection would cost a damned sight more than it currently does.
Zozzy Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 We live in a multi-cultural society in this great country of ours, where all beliefs should be tolerated. This should include an English landscape where Mosques, Churches and Synagogues live side by side in peace and harmony. This thread has negative undertones which don't belong in the modern ethical society in which we live. Give Peace a chance zoz x

Traf Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 theres no such thing as God - probably I agree. If there really was a God/Allah/David Icke, there wouldn't be so much suffering and intolerance in the world. Why can't we all just live as one big happy family?
no balls Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Why can't we all just live as one big happy family? Because we're not all related? You've been living over there too long, mate!
Smiffs Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I think all churches, mosques, etc should be turned into lap-dancing comedy stores with free beer, drugs, and kiss me quick hats. That'll make everyone a damned site happier than all this religeous shit that kills so many people.
Sweep Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I think all churches, mosques, etc should be turned into lap-dancing comedy stores with free beer, drugs, and kiss me quick hats. They all do that anyway, have you not been told yet?

That'll make everyone a damned site happier than all this religeous shit that kills so many people. and encourages whack jobs like this to send emails to my friends magazine Dear Clutter MagazineMy name is XXXX and I am 18 yearsold. Recently I read a letter where a reader spoke up against Harry Potter. As a Christian I wish to state that the Bible clearly tells us to have nothing to do with witchcraft. When I was 14 years old I had the most terrible experience. For a long time I heard voices thatrepeated over and over: 'Harry must go.' As a Christian I would like to warn people who are crazy about Harry Potter. Rather stay away before you also have to experience the traumat hat I did. I am praying for the salvation of everyone involved with Harry Potter some way or another. I've also sent e-mails to some of them to tell them that God loves them and that I will keep on praying for their salvation. Kind regards XXXXXX
