desperado Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) My honest opinion is that, regardless of how many times Megson has seemingly saved himself when all else seems lost, there will be no come back this time. I think we will get beat comfortably at Fulham. Even if we serve up the same unentertaining dross (which I have been happy to accept in the past if it gets results) and manage to scrape something, this, with the tide of opinion well and truly against him, will still not be enough, it will just carry on to the next inept performance. However, regardless of my changing opinion that he needs to go I still can't bring myself to ever wanting us to lose or wish bad upon the team to get rid of a manager. Therefore in my opinion the only way out of this and to turn a corner is win and win with some flair and entertainment. Ok it's extremely unlikely this approach will be adopted and executed. And it in all liklihood it could have the reverse effect and see us on the back of a tottenham style thumping. But for me the team needs to read something like this; Jussi Steinson Samuel O Brien Cahill Gardner Muamba M Davies Chung Yong Klasnic K Davies Edited November 24, 2009 by Carlos
frank_spencer Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Jussi Gretar AOB Cahill JLS Muamba Cohen CYL Gardner Klasnic Elmander Davies has been shit all season, plus playing against hangelaand he'll win fuck all in the air again. playing Elmander and Klasnic might encourage us to play a bit more football
Whisky Face Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 The only Davies wont be in the team is through injury or suspension.

frank_spencer Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I'd rather play Klasnic and Danny Ward up front that that peice of shiit Elmander. why? he's been playing a lot better in recent weeks, perhaps if people supported him in attack or provided decent passes he'd do a damn sight better
Athywhite_Mike Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 why? he's been playing a lot better in recent weeks, perhaps if people supported him in attack or provided decent passes he'd do a damn sight better and perhaps if pigs flew then that might happen. I'm sorry, I really really do want Elmander to do well, but I just cannot see it happening.
Big E Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 4 -1 to us! COYWM........i also predict we leave at half time due to being fucked off about something
HomerJay Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 why? he's been playing a lot better in recent weeks, perhaps if people supported him in attack or provided decent passes he'd do a damn sight better because its elmander you numbskull. im suprised he's not been blamed for the ricketts own goal yet...
Guest bwfcdan Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Went last season, was shite so im not gonna bother on Saturday... 3-0 Fulham...
Zico Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 f?ck the football what pub are we meeting in, and is it pay on the gate?
Athywhite_Mike Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 COYWM Elmander prove me wrong!! Lets nick a scrappy 1-0 !
Guest bwfcdan Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 f?ck the football what pub are we meeting in, and is it pay on the gate? There's a decent one next too the thames, crab tree or something like that...decent pub
Horwich Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 When is this Elmander going to come good? Or is he still getting over his injury from Newcastle? 2-0 Fulham Team should include Steinnson Taylor (back on the left) Fuck Elmander off. Klasnic (if we are playing 2 upfront)
whiteboy Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Davies up front on his own, with Gardner and Taylor wide but playing further up the pitch...M Davies or Cohen into the midfield. For me , thats our best line up away from home. I'm in, and SURELY it can't be as bad as last year.
Traf Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 17yrs since we won a League game at Fulham. I see no reason for that to change. 0-2: even Zamora will score.
Sweep Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I forsee another good hiding, with us getting gubbed about 3:0 (Dempsey, Hangeland & Zamora) - Gartside will say after the match that he still supports Megson 100% and there are a lot of positives in the club. Megson then sacked on Monday, and replaced by Iain Dowie
DIPS Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Along with Everton away last year, this game was one of the worst I've ever witnessed. We we're absolute shite all game. Fulham 2 Bolton 0
onlyoneawalker Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Fulham 3 - 1 BWFC - just can't see us getting anything but well beaten Elmander has fucking no hope of starting the game I have defended him alot but he was wank sunday and the quickest he ran all match was to get off when being subbed, made up my mind there he is no way suited to the prem and he'll be gone in summer at latest.

Sweep Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 he is no way suited to the prem and he'll be gone in summer at latest. He'll only be gone if somebody wants to take him off our hands. I wonder how much we would accept for him if somebody came in for him in January? - do you reckon we would sell for ?4M and just take the hit?

Can't see us getting ?4m I'd take ?2-3m and run to be honest, much as i would like it to you just can't see it happening with him.

The good thing is that he isn't cup tied for either Champions League or the Europa League, so maybe that will add a bit to his transfer

In a way I agree that we should play like that, if anything just to play some football as we wouldn't have the option to just hoof it, then again in scrappy matches Davies is usually our biggest goal threat from free kicks floated in from the half way line or alike. It would take massive bottle for Megson to drop the club captain and someone who is idleised by the vast majority of fans, then again he hardly has a good relationship with the fans which he could ruin, it would just be another reason for fans to dislike him to add to the list. He has to do something, he has to get results and this major move could possibly work. I think he is in a lose lose situation whatever he does and so as a result I think he will be out within 2 or 3 games. Personally with Davies in poor form (IMO) at the moment I think he may as well go for it and put Elmander and Klasnic up front, stick Lee and Gardner on the wings, but keep the centre of midfield strong and defensive with Muamba and Cohen. Then at the back I would definitely get Steinsson back in, let AOB keep his place along side Cahill and Jlloyd at left back. If things are awful then get Davies on at half time and revert to pumping it long and waiting for a free kick anywhere in their half.
Piemon Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) Im going but only to see my little cousin be the away Mascot................. we will get dicked 4 - 1 Slug and Lettuce for a drinK again me thinks Edited November 24, 2009 by hughesy
