worthy10 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 chants from the roverrrrrs fans on allardyce out. I wonder if they're taking a leaf out of our book and trying a bit of people power?
Rembrandt Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 chants from the roverrrrrs fans on allardyce out. I wonder if they're taking a leaf out of our book and trying a bit of people power? Well, it seems to be working for the 'pool against their US owners.
Burndens Bogs Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Hmmm how times change.... Sacked at Newcastle and now fans calling for his head at Rovers - he doesn't seem to tout himself as a future England manager anymore either.
no balls Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 He'll be ok, he can be a pundit. Always good for an opinion is Sam.
superjohnmcginlay Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Theres a full 6 pages of it here http://www.roverstalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=...36&start=75
tylswhite Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I bet he wishes he never walked out of that door.
no balls Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I don't have ESPN. Have they panned back to Garty to get the shot of him pissing himself?
bolty58 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Just read that and the conclusion is that you will always have pro and anti manager fans at every club. First blush of a fresh appointment is fine. Only a matter of time before some criticism comes from somewhere. Same will happen with OC. Unrealistic expectations of football fans have a lot to answer for.
HomerJay Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I don't have ESPN. Have they panned back to Garty to get the shot of him pissing himself? i think i actually saw him murmur "aaaaah you fat bastard"
Guest CoyleIsGod Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Can always come and be Coyle's Assistant.
snowball Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Watching Blackburn tonight, I was really surprised at how lacklustre and lightweight they were. It does look like the old Big Sam magic might not work anymore. One win in 16 away games (wonder who that was against?). Fallen out (so it seems) with Roberts & McCarthy. They really do need a goalscorer and we know how hard they are to find. I remember a lot of people saying how much better they were than us when they won down here. Does anyone think we can finish above them?
snowball Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Why? Because it's Blackburn and we are now only three points behind with 3 games in hand.

Quite right Bolty, unfortunately our support has been infiltrated with Nolan booers, Allardyce whingers when we're a top 8 club, and other sorts who know sweet fa about football. Never been excited about watching the Whites as i am now. I'm actually looking forward to our fixtures for away games to go to, instead of asking someone who do we play this weekend. Forward with Coyley
Gonk Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 i think i actually saw him murmur "aaaaah you fat bastard" Then he had a big contented yawn.
Guest bwfcdan Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Just seen there following tonight... feck me we took (taking) that to Arsenal...shite support...

I've sent off my passport renewal already. COYWM !!!
Big_Girl_Oral_Explosion Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 They think BSA is not up to managing their "Great Club". Well Megson is available to those who know football. The letter from the 21 year old sums it up....Rervers fans spoiled by 10 years of being the rich boys. Without JW they would be no better than Preston or Blackpool or Oldham.
Casino Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Just seen there following tonight... feck me we took (taking) that to Arsenal...shite support... i really, really don't think we wanna go there
Guest Blixa Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Allardyce is as good as they'll get. Much as I hate his fat chops wobbling in front of a microphone talking himself up (and occasionally talking us down), I do feel sorry for him. He got a glimpse of the big time and didn't get it. He'd probably have made a terrible England boss, but by never having the chance when he was so close, he's got to feel more than a bit frustrated. Reason he left us in the end, he saw a bigger future. That Newcastle job, on paper, should have been a winner too at the time - but wrong club/wrong time. If he does get the boot from Blackburn, you'd probably say that's it for him in the top division. On a related point, is Rioch better thought of than Allardyce? Maybe time will change things, but I still rate Rioch's achievements as high, if not higher, than Allardyce's. Two division promotion with no money to spend, a cup final and some of the most memorable cup performances in our history. Ok, Allardyce kept us up and got us into Europe, but Rioch actually got the club back into the big time after a decline of 10-15 years.
Guest bwfcdan Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 i really, really don't think we wanna go there Why not? excellent stadium the emirates...aye we'll get battered but still....
