Why not re-do ones that could have been great, but didn't quite cut it for one reason or another? Even Hitchcock did that with one of his own films; he didn't like his 1934 effort at The Man Who Knew Too Much, so he had another pop in the 50s. Mark Kermode on the wireless said that Let The Right One In is a film about kids with a vampire element where Let Me In is a film about vampires which happens to have kids in it. Quote
