Loft Nuthouse Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Seen Four Lions and there's a few funny bits. Yesterday I watched The Firm, embarrasingly bad. Quote
Electric Gretar Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Shifty - Rubbish, could've done that movie in 20 minutes, I think they misspelled the title! Quote
Loft Nuthouse Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I just watched Nightwatching, Peter Greenaway flick and how splendid was it ? Very, that's how splendid. Quote
Electric Gretar Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Watched Disturbia (cracking filum), and then Kick Ass last neet. Kick Ass is fuckin brilliant, Kill Bill meets Leon meets Batman. I'll give it an 8.7/10, Disturbia gets a 7.9/10 Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Saw kick ass at the flicks I agree it's very good, Quote
Zico Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Chris Morries was unwell and didn't show up so watched Shutter Island for the 3rd time instead and it got better, made perfect sense and picked up on loads of stuff I missed first 2 times round Quote
Latham8WFC Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Chris Morries was unwell and didn't show up so watched Shutter Island for the 3rd time instead and it got better, made perfect sense and picked up on loads of stuff I missed first 2 times round Cracking film that, Scorsese should do more films like Shutter Island and Cape Fear he's arguable as good as Hitchcock when it comes to thrillers. Watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly last night, never seen a western before, verdict: Very very good. Think I may have discovered a new genre of films.....next up Once upon a time in the West. Watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly last night, never seen a western before, verdict: Very very good. Think I may have discovered a new genre of films.....next up Once upon a time in the West. Am I the only person on the planet who HATED Shutter Island?! Thought it was corny as - very easy to spot "the twist". Was fkin overjoyed when it finished. I love Scorcese and the way he shoots stuff, but the script just turned me right off. Humbug Quote
Zico Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Am I the only person on the planet who HATED Shutter Island?! doubt it though I think I'm the only one who feels that way about Inception Quote
Casino Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly last night, never seen a western before, verdict: Very very good. well, why not do the other eastwood/leone efforts? Quote
Latham8WFC Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 well, why not do the other eastwood/leone efforts? Watched 'Once upon a time in the West' last night which I think may have slightly topped TGTBATU, only just though. Suddenly become a fan of Henry Fonda also as watched '12 Angry Men' recently, which is a cracking film. I cannot believe its taken me until the age of 29 to discover these films. Over the weekend I think ' A fistful of dollars' and 'For a few dollars more'.....cannot wait!! Quote
Didledee Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) Watched Cars today, great film, probably the only Pixar film I've not seen and it was made in 2006. Recently also watched the new Chronicles film and Megamind at the cinema, Gangs of New York[L.Di Caprio]was excellent and the decent 2, which I thought was class. Loads of Christmas movies aswell. Zico Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Predators when I say it's a rip off of Predator, I don't just mean the "in the jungle" storyline - they even use the same lines and sequences from the original shocking Quote
Big City Girl Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I watched Magnolia last night - very good. It's about 11 year old and full of stars. Download it, you won't be disappointed. Quote

jules_darby Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Watched The Other Guys on box office this week You lot that are into subtitled European cinema will no doubt scoff, but I thought it was excellent - made me laugh my head off. I also watched Cyrus and was very disappointed - you could see every gag coming a mile off. Shame as it's a great cast Quote
