Big City Girl Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 The Big Splash. Ralph Fiennes (and Tilda Swinton) v good in it. Quote
bgoefc Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 (edited) Battle for Sevastopol. Russian made film just watched on Amazon. True story of Lyudmila Pavlichenko, a young Ukrainian female sniper. 50:50 english language and then russian and german with subtitles (she was sent to the states in the autumn of 1942 as part of a youth movement to drum up support for a second front). Very interesting and enjoyable. 8/10. Edited November 17, 2016 by bgoefc Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Just watched Revenant, absolutely suburb. Best film I've seen since wolf of Wall Street, with similarities in his crawling in both films after his lemon quaaludes. Fast becoming my favourite actor. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Allied. 7/10, enough to keep you guessing. Quote
Kane57 Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 The Accountant. Bit Bourne-ish but decent enough. Affleck a strange choice for the lead. Quote
Zico Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I beleive it's a massive let down buy not got round to watching it yet Quote
Elson Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Suicide squad ? Do I purchase it? Apart from Margot Robbie the film is total rubbish Quote
Kane57 Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 It's pretty awful. Rogue One however was fantastic Quote
birch-chorley Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Rouge one was really good At first I was thinking 'here we go again' However once I realised where it all fitted in it made sense Quote
Big City Girl Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 The Accountant. Bit Bourne-ish but decent enough. Affleck a strange choice for the lead. Yeah I enjoyed that, I don't know what it is about Affleck, but I don't really like him. Quote
birch-chorley Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Watched arrival a couple of weeks back at the cinema That was also very good, worth a watch anyroad Quote
Zico Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Sully is a decent enough watch for a sunday night Quote
Kane57 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Thought Sully was a bit dull. A 20 minutes bit on Air Crash Investigation dragged out over 90 minutes Quote
madthatter Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Yeah I enjoyed that, I don't know what it is about Affleck, but I don't really like him. Ben Cheesefleck Quote

Best film I've seen since wolf of Wall Street, with similarities in his crawling in both films after his lemon quaaludes. Fast becoming my favourite actor. I'd go with that - he can turn his hand to any role, pretty much, doesn't hog the limelight and doesn't grate like some of his contemporaries; Jude Law and Ben Affleck being prime examples Quote
bgoefc Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Tom Hanks double tonight. Sully 8/10. Decent especially the aircraft scenes. Inferno 4/10. Poor. Not a patch on the other two Robert Langdon films. Silly plot and too complex for complex sake. The only thing I took out of it is that wiping out half of the planets population in order to save the future of humanity is probably not a bad idea! Quote
Zico Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Nocturnal Animals Pretty dark in places hence I enjoyed it 7.5/10 Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Watched the remake of the jungle book with the kids. Very good 8/10 with a great cast of voices. Quote
Kane57 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I'd be grateful if a Rogue One screener came out before I go back to work Quote
frank_spencer Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I'd be grateful if a Rogue One screener came out before I go back to work Should be out there somewhere. Kevin Smith posted he'd received his RO screener Quote
