Matt Lofthouse Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 Darkest hour - a bit disappointing tbh, it didn’t really grip me like I thought it would. Quote
Zico Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I Tonya  Very good  Good story, well made, well acted  Bit like goodfellas on ice  8/10 Quote
jmjhb Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 Mute - all over the place but I quite enjoyed it nevertheless Quote
kent_white Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 Mindhorn - could have been very funny. Was actually just a tiny bit funny 5/10 Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Was reading about Pulp Fiction last night, I’ve seen it loads but never knew or took notice of Steve Buscemi being in it. Quote
Traf Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Mute - all over the place but I quite enjoyed it nevertheless  Does it have subtitles? Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) Aye, blink and you'll miss him  It’s really annoyed me Edit: not really but how I never saw it was him before now Edited February 26, 2018 by superjohnmcginlay Quote
madthatter Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 Deadpool. Better than I expected  I will admit to finding Ryan Reynolds pretty funny. I'm probably in a very small minority though Quote
jeep Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 Thor: Ragnarok last night. Enjoyed the comedy elements of it. 8/10 Quote
L/H White Posted March 9, 2018 Posted March 9, 2018 Deadpool. Better than I expected  I will admit to finding Ryan Reynolds pretty funny. I'm probably in a very small minority though  great film, he's brilliant in it Quote
jules_darby Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Thor: Ragnarok last night. Enjoyed the comedy elements of it. 8/10 Me too. And I’m not normally into marvel stuff Paddington 2 is decent. Though my boy has wanted it on every single day since we bought it Quote
Traf Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 The Greatest Showman  Superb.  The enemy within and Junior said as much, I declined the invite. Quote
L/H White Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 The enemy within and Junior said as much, I declined the invite. Had to do my bit i was in the pub everyday last week Quote
Boo Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Jumanji 2. Surprisingly decentNice little no brainer. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 The Greatest Showman  Superb. Finally getting round to seeing it on Wednesday.  8/10 on Red Sparrow. Overdone on the violence and gore a little bit, but still pretty hard hitting and particularly topical at the minute with all this Russian spy lark ongoing. Quote
jimmyjoojar Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Jumanji 2. Surprisingly decent  Nah...??  Jumanji 2 - 5/10 - As i'd imagined, predictable cash cow with a few laughs here and there. Best thing for me was Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan), but i do like a ginge!! Lady Bird - 6.5/10 - Well acted and directed but never really gets out of 3rd gear, which is a shame. Shape of Water - 7.5/10 - I thought i'd hate it, but i was very pleasantly surprised. Best you ignore the naysayers and give it a go. Black Panther - 8/10 - Like other people have said, very good. My favorite Marvel film for a good few years, good story and it isn't quite as daft and bloated in the actions stakes as previous Marvel films. I, Tonya - 7/10 - Well crafted story telling, with some good acting and laughs along the way. The Mother character is one to remember. Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 (edited) Considering some of the shite I've seen recently I thought I'd seek some out on purpose...  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_considered_the_worst  Got about ten minutes beyond the first appearance of 'Jill' in 'Jack and Jill' before switching off, watched all of 'Movie 43' and even laughed a few times...  How many of that list have you lot seen?  I'm going to work through it until I get bored. Reading the synopsis of each I really want to see; 'Bucky Larsson: A Born Star', 'Freddy Got Fingered' and 'That's My Boy' but none of them are on Netflix Edited March 19, 2018 by Youri McAnespie Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Without wanting to spoil it, here's a clip from one of the above... Â Quote
kent_white Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Without wanting to spoil it, here's a clip from one of the above... Â There's one called biodome or something which is roundly regarded as one of the worst of all time? Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 I knew without Googling that one involved the Brando of shit films, Pauly Shore... Â I might have seen it already. Â A lot of these shit films actually make money, or at least don't lose loads... Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 (edited) 1% on metacritic!  That looks excellent, it's like what 'Bill and Ted' could've been. This has been added to the list...  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adopted_(film) Edited March 19, 2018 by Youri McAnespie Quote
