madthatter
The Day - cannibals, post apocalypse shenanigans. Would be OK if it didn't take itself too seriously, don't bother.

Not sure what to make of it is defo one of those marmite films. Tense with a few jumpy bits. Wait for the dvd release. Matt Lofthouse
Picked a film at random tonight. Bomb City, decent watch and a true story of a hate crime in Amarillo Texas.
madthatter
The Survivalist - another post apocalyptic, cannibals and what have you film set in N Ire A fella living in a cabin with a very small farm is confronted by a mother and daughter who trade 'things' for food and shelter. Grim, obvs but in cinematic terms brilliant. Hardly a word spoken yet the tension and threat of violence (in many ways) is constant. Shows our fragility which explains our brutality (ooh i've gone all Kemode) Keep asking myself would we really resort to such brutality if the 'grid' went down? madthatter
Last Jedi - expectations were low after the last one but thought this was the worst of all the 'new' ones. All a bit 'meh'. Young uns would no doubt like it.

New Nicolas Cage film where he plays a motel owner who discovers a two way mirror looking into a room where he witnesses a murder and shit starts going down. 7/10 Edited April 14, 2018 by Kane57

Blondi
Anyone seen I, Tonya? My mate watched it and said it's a decent film, don't think its my cup of tea though.
Kane57
Yeah it's good. Actress playing the mum does a phenomenal job. I wasn't sure about the quirks like the third wall breaking, plus Nancy Kerrigan barely gets 5 minutes. Worth a go if nothing else is on

It effects 'the meat'. the robot will no doubt have silicones in its build. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organosilicon it wouldve been better to play up the pseudo religious worship angle from the sacrifice in the previous one (the alternate take has a load of monks watching him eat the soup) than to handwave away Diatoms , Stem Cells and similar things. the robot didnt even get a cough.. that jake gyllenhall film from about 6 months before kind of worked it better. and that got some stick for being a copy of alien. Kane57
The Witch. Netflix horror film. Distracting manner of speech with lots of 'come hither' coming from Finchy from the Office. 6/
Kane57
Whiplash. Absolutely brilliant. All about an aspiring drummer and his fucking bastard of a teacher. Really enjoyed it Netflix 8/10 Welcome to Leith. Netflix again. Doc about a small town of 30 odd who have a battle on their hands when a white supremacist moves in with his racist bastard mates. Interesting enough. 6/

Not in Crawley
Just found out about this film: http://film.britishcouncil.org/the-bromley-boys I’m currently reading the book about supporting Bromley Town (they’re my local club so pop down and watch them from time to time) really good read as well, hopefully the film will be ok even with Alan Davies in it.
