Blondi Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Cardboard gangsters on Netflix. Very good worth a watch Watched it last night, very good film, thanks for the recommendation. Quote
kent_white Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 I really wanted to like this, I really rate Keaton and it has a stong cast but i thought it was just a bit shit. I can see why it could get on someone's tits but I thought the way it was shot and the dialogue were superb. Quote
Smiley Posted March 31, 2018 Author Posted March 31, 2018 Take a look at 13 Commandments on All4. Very good indeed.....as gritty as the original The Killing. First 5 minutes is as gruesome and unforgettable as you’ll see. Imho....The Killing will never be beaten........used to wait eagerly for the Saturday episodes back to back on BBC2 when it was first released The Killing.... as in the Danish version? Was tip-top. Watched the Funeral Murders yesterday. Very good. Disturbing when it happened and same again watching it yesterday. Very odd to feel elation when they shot or bombed the Republicans - must’ve been how we were brainwashed in the 70s & 80s. Interested to know why those soldiers ended up where they did that day. Someone must know. Did they ever get the person who pulled the trigger? And also interesting to hear the IRA guy condemn the killings. Watched the 4 Days that shook UK straight after - about the bombings & stabbings in UK last summer. Another good watch. Quote
Smiley Posted March 31, 2018 Author Posted March 31, 2018 Kidnapping Freddie Heineken - 7/10. Was alreet. I think the after story is meant to be better. Quote
Casino Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Regarding the killing, can't find the third series anywhere Quote

madthatter Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Annihilation - A Netfilx (UK) film by Alex Garland. The Thing meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Nothing new as such but great soundtrack and some eerie visuals and creepy moments. Well worth a look for sci-fi/horror fans Quote
Casino Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I watched that film about the deaf girl Excellent Left me wanting more which is surely the sign of a good film Quote

MickyD Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 I watched that film about the deaf girl Excellent Left me wanting more which is surely the sign of a good film Probably the most thought provoking film and, at the same time, biggest dig at the education system I've seen in a while. Would love to see a feature length version. Quote
embankment Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Taken 3 , after the diabolical Taken 2 I totally swerved this one . But there was bugger all to do after walking the dog earlier. And I did enjoy it. Quote
Duck Egg Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 The Nike Hilton incident. Excellent. Thought provoking and a good insight into the corruption that is seemingly endemic in the middle east Quote

stevieb Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 (edited) Baby Driver. Should I bother? It's a bit meh. Great soundtrack but a bit of a shit story. Edit - and Kevin spacey so can't see past his misdemeanours now. Edited April 6, 2018 by stevieb Quote

jimmyjoojar Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Molly’s Game - 8/10 - I really enjoyed it, had no idea of the story and ended up googling her and the true events afterwards to learn more. Plus Jessica Chastain is simply gorgeous. Quote
