Recent Filums I've Watched

Book of Eli - Denzel Washington - took two attempts to watch it all the way through - a bit of a duff Mad Max type film. Watchable. 4/10

Green Zone - Matt Damon - enjoyed it, always like films based out in Middle East, etc. 7/10

Planet 51 - was enjoying it til I nodded off, kids liked it - must be good. 6/10

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - see above - 6/10

Good Will Hunting - Matt Damon/Robin Williams - look, there was fook all else on this Saturday just gone, never seen it before - quite enjoyed - the scene were Robin Williams was going on about his late wife farting in bed had me in tears - half decent. Oh, and Minnie Driver looked far better than I can ever remember. 7/10

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - its Swedish so no famous actors/actresses - great thriller - didn't bother me that it was in subtitles great revenge scene on the pervy Probation Officer- looking forward to the 2nd in the trilogy in the next week or so - well worth the watch and highly recommended. 9/10

That's me, Jonathan Woss, over and out.

The House that Jack Built. Bang average. Just kept thinking wish I was watching American psycho. The film is probably an hour longer than it needed to be as well.

Shit.

I had that down as an away win.

  • 5 weeks later...

Bohemian Rhapsody - fantastic.

The autopsy of Jane Doe - different. Completely freaked the Mrs out. Decent chebs as well (Jane Doe not the Mrs).

Fyre: The Greatest Party that Never Happened

Well worth the watch.

Cheers pal. Me and the missus thought it was very good.

Did enjoy it, probably more an 8 than a 7, as said was expecting it to be a bit more serious / brutal

It's got 4 Oscar nominations, bound to win at least one

"Interesting" fact: Tony Lip played Carmine Lupertazzi in the Sopranos

Never watched it mate. The only Italian gang thing I ever watched and enjoyed is Gomorrah. So much so I rate it as one of the best TV series' I have ever seen (if not the best).

Back to Green Book, (keep wanting to type 'Green Door" - fucking Wynder K. Frog!), thought Viggo Mortensen was superb.

Enjoyed green book. Thanks as ever to recommendations on here.

Point Man - It was an 8/10 on IMDB.

I didnt check how many votes it had, that was the cast and crew.

Its now where it should be with a 4/10.  Id score it lower.

Shiiite.

Hurricane - Real unsung heroes of 303 squadron made up of mostly polish volunteers and the plane itself that was overshadowed by the spitfire despite inflicting 60% of Luftwaffe losses in the Battle of Britain. Decent film.

Watched the Netflix movie/documentary about Alan Eustace's sky dive from the stratosphere. Quite good.

And also the teenage rape movie/documentary "Audrie & Daisy". Very deep, dark and disturbing. Don't recommend watching with your teenage daughter either. The topic of "fingering" was a bit cringeworthy.

Blackkklansman......what can I say? It's fucking dreadful. The brothers Grimm fairy tales were are believable. In saying that I watched it all the way through

Another thumbs up for Green Book.

Going to see On the Basis of Sex on Tuesday.

Mary Queen of Scots - Dull as fuck.

Margot Robbie may have just slipped out of the top 10.

Agree on the first bit. Never got going.

Lets not do anything drastic on the second bit though.

Hang on, got the two queens mixed up. As you were.

Thirded

Though it kept the other half quiet for a couple of hours

And she knows more about the subject than me so didn't get loads of questions like who's he or what's happening now

The Aftermath

Too many unanswered questions and random plot lines that just fill time rather than serving any other purpose. Dislikable characters. You do get to see Keira Knightley’s fried eggs though.
