Recent Filums I've Watched

Book of Eli - Denzel Washington - took two attempts to watch it all the way through - a bit of a duff Mad Max type film. Watchable. 4/10

Green Zone - Matt Damon - enjoyed it, always like films based out in Middle East, etc. 7/10

Planet 51 - was enjoying it til I nodded off, kids liked it - must be good. 6/10

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - see above - 6/10

Good Will Hunting - Matt Damon/Robin Williams - look, there was fook all else on this Saturday just gone, never seen it before - quite enjoyed - the scene were Robin Williams was going on about his late wife farting in bed had me in tears - half decent. Oh, and Minnie Driver looked far better than I can ever remember. 7/10

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - its Swedish so no famous actors/actresses - great thriller - didn't bother me that it was in subtitles great revenge scene on the pervy Probation Officer- looking forward to the 2nd in the trilogy in the next week or so - well worth the watch and highly recommended. 9/10

That's me, Jonathan Woss, over and out.

Aquaman. Pretty much power rangers for adults (and 6 year old kids staying up past their bed time).

Absolute horse shit. Even the 6 year old lad has just said "why are they on a boat when they can swim and breathe under water"

Spider man into the spiderverse.

Ket trip without the ket.

Aquaman is brill, if silly.

Spiderverse is tremendous visually and a really good story.

Agreed about spiderverse. Watched it yesterday and was mesmerised by it.

The Mrs watched it at the cinema and said it was unlike anything she's ever seen before.

Aquaman... Not a fan. Nicole kidman doesn't age a day in 28 years... Sound about right actually!

Good Boys

Piss funny

Kermode raving about bait

Sounds interesting

Came across Shawshank Redemption, again, last night and it struck me how much the prison warden looks like Big E

Once upon a time in Hollywood;

great to see the hippies get it

Currently watching Django Unchained

One of Tarantinos best.

Watched "The Guilty" Danish film with subtitles, well worth watching, mustn't have cost much to make.

The vanishing on sky

I'm sure theres lots to be impressed with, but no more than 4/10 from me

Watched Brightburn last night. Like a Superman goes bad when he's a kid kind of filum.

Decent enough.

I wish I'd read this stunning review before I watched it. The worst film ever I reckon, considering the immense budget it must have had

Leave No Trace - that’s a great film, certainly worth your time, I think it was Kermode’s film of the year.

How did it compare to the Lego Batman movie you watched this week?

That was shit as well, turned off after about 5 minutes

Went to see Joker last night. It was absolutely brilliant and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're not a fan of superhero movies then this is still for you - it's more like Fight Club or Taxi Driver.

An absolute masterpiece

I've heard great reviews across the board (apart from the Guardian which someone pointed out gave it an initial 5 star review and then has spent the following weeks absolutely slamming it!) Sounds like one to watch and I'm not even into all this comic book stuff.

Wanting to catch up with The Irishman soon too.

Reservoir Dogs last night. It has aged brilliantly

Not like the Guardian to be a set of contrary fuckers just for the sake of it.

Just got round to watching Three Billboards Outside Ebbing.

Kept putting it off due to it being described as Comedy/drama.

One of the best films I've ever seen, the comedy is just the odd line, never known a film to bring out so many emotions, highly recommend.

Paddington 2. May get slated but it's very good, very funny.

I can't remember why but I follow Hugh Grant on Twitter. One good thing about Twitter is you get an intuition on folk. Hugh Grant comes across very well. Some folk you'd expect to come across very well such as Jonathan Agnew don't (bit of a precious prick)

Anyway Hugh Grant said Paddington 2 could be the best film he's ever been in so watched it. Great performances from him, Brendan Gleeson and Peter Capaldi.

Class films Paddington 1 and 2.

IT Chapter 2 - nearly 3h long. Rubbish.

Baby Driver - great soundtrack. Enjoyed it far more than I imagined I would.
