"#Alive" on Netlfix. If you're into zombie films, it's a fucking belter. I would recommend watching it in Korean with subtitles, because the dubbed English is fucking terrible. If you're not into zombie films, you probably won't enjoy it either way.

Watched Guy Richie's The Gentleman last night. Enjoyed it. Not as good as Snatch or Lock Stock but a lot better than some of the stuff he's pumped out recently.

aye, it's decent

someone mentioned RockNRolla the other day, that's good also

avoid Revolver though, utter dogshit

Couldn't get in to RockNRolla. I've watched Revolver and can't remember a thing about it. I like Ritchie's 'cor blimey guv' and Jumping backward and forward style of film making. But sometimes the 'cor blimey' bit is laid on with a trowel. The Gentleman was only just on the right side of it.

Anything filmed in a foreign language should be watched with subtitles rather than dubbed English.

I'll go so far as to say anyone who watches in dubbed English is a fucking simpleton.

I agree completely. I only saw a minute or so of the dubbed version because Netflix defaulted to it, and it took me a minute or so to work out how to change it.

I’ll go one better

My mate watched a snide copy of inglorious basterds which didn’t have subtitles on it. He watch the whole thing. There’s some major scenes littered in German and he didn’t think anything of it.

I 100% agree. But I have not got the patience or the desire to read my films. I'm lazy.

Moron.

The French Dispatch on IPTV

Few scenes in French

Except with Spanish subtitles

Had to switch it off, annoying as I was enjoying it, but feel like I'm missing out on something important

Will probably end up actually paying for it now on Google play or something

Just finished Cosmos.

Excellent, and a must for all space dudes.

Carl Sagan series from the 80s? Or is there a new version.

Read the book few years ago - proper brain stomper! I even understood some of it.....

Film from 2019.

Directed by two Weavers (brothers?)

Essentially no budget, and only 4 actors.

Starts a bit strangely, but really comes together.

A remarkable effort all things considered, and a worthy watch.

Just seen the sequal to Independence Day is on CH4 at half 7. It gets very poor reviews so, because I am bored shitless today, I am going to give it a go just for morbid curiosity.

I hope you switched it off and watched Hull v. Everon - utter dogshit.
