For those who haven’t seen it Donnie Brasco starting now on GreatMovies Freeview 32.

Cracking film. Easily one of Depp's best.

Watched a few good gangster films this weekend -

American Gangster

Gangs of New York

The Untouchables

Think I'll do Donnie Brasco tomorrow.

Any other recommendations?

The Long Good Friday

It's only the best British gangster film ever made

His best imo, Al Pacino was on top form too - up there with The Godfather, Serpico and Carlito's Way.

I love Fear and Loathing too much to call it his best.

If you can find them you could try things like Violent Cop or Sonatine or even go heroic bloodshed and try A Better Tomorrow. Used to love that shit back in the day.

Did watch a more recent yakuza one not long ago but can’t for the life of me think what it’s called.

Watched RocknRolla tonight, quite enjoyed it

Said it before, Toby Kebbell is great in that, proper pyscho

I honestly thought he was mentally handicapped after i saw him in Dead Man's Shoes, like that girl in Grange Hill

He was also very good in Black Mirror
