"Don't Look Up" on Netflix is both good and very shit at the same time. Too much cheesey pop culture bullshit, the CGI is terrible, and the satire is bit too "on the nose", but it's still somehow watchable. DiCaprio probably saves it.

Mrs has literally just said to me can we watch this. I’d never heard of it. Worth a watch fromage?

Children of Men was really short and was a bit like a breakdown in a Meh house tune.

Felt a bit cheated when it ended - it felt like they'd just ran out of money so fucked it off.

Get Out is Christmassy.

It's a modern Shining - so much you don't see until you rewatch it.

After screening the other four on consecutive nights they reached the nadir of Rocky V t'other night on ITV. No I did not. Once was enough twenty odd years ago.

It's not Christmas without a shite Carry On film and there is one on ITV.

Fuck it Dirty Harry for the 237 time.

(Paramount - channel 31).

I'd say so, as long as you don't base your expectations on the first 5 minutes. Gets a bit daft.

Children of Men is one of the greatest films ever made. Very under-rated in my opinion.

Cheers. Shoved it in the planner. Might watch it tomorrow morning.

It was good - very good.

It just felt like they had about $400 to produce it.

They put some reet dogshit on Film4 but occasionally there's a good one.

Some film about a heist with Nic Cage and Elijah Wood was surprisingly decent - The Trust or whatever.

Children of Men was spooky (maybe not) made before those police murders.

It had a budget of $76M apparently. There's a 'making of' that is a very good watch. Some of those long one-shot takes are fucking incredible.

Found part of it on youtube:

The CGI baby was fucking dogshit though. The only thing that let it down.

Very Unfinished Sympathy shots - just seemed not to round off the stories.

Invest in the characters - then the credits roll.

Felt a bit cheated.

Enjoyed that. Some very funny bits and suspect it’s one that if you watched it again you would pick up lots of other excellent humour
