Don’t think it’s the best choice when I’m high

His accent absolutely fucking ruined the film. One part saffer, large parts Scottish, sprinkling of Geordie.

Weird, but a good film.

I watched Don’t Look Up on Netflix earlier - stellar cast and a decent film. Social commentary but dumbed down to make sense to Americans. Could have been more subtle. Would recommend though,

He sounds scouse at points too. South African is a very weird accent.

Agree with your points about Don't Look Up. It's like satire for 15 year olds, or Americans.

DiCaprio does well with it in blood diamond but it’s a long time since I’ve seen it so maybe he didn’t

About Hoxton St, Hackney

On amazon

I've been to Hoxton, mate lives a couple of miles away in Hackney.

Decent enough Brewhouse.

Obvs, it's not a super hero film, so little action

Worth a watch though

The brexiteer pie and mash shop owner and the German bottle shop chap make for an interesting conversation

Watched saving private Ryan last night, must be 10 years since I last saw it and it still looks spectacularly, it’s an absolute masterpiece

The thing is when Americans do war films, there’s usually this heroism, patriotic exaggerated bollocks that they saved the world, ended the war and that’s all she wrote.

It’s not like that in saving private Ryan, might not be a better war film, although I haven’t seen 1917 & Dunkirk which are supposed to be excellent

Tapers off after the landing scene imo.

And Tom Sizemore ruins anything.

'Come and See'  best war film.

Paths of Glory too.

Full Metal Jacket goes down second half.

No way you homophobe.

American sitcoms are wank.

Apart from Curb Your Enthusiasm.

And Tom Sizemore is a big barrel of monkey spunk.

He will be outed with deviants like Spacey and Weinstein mark my words.

That sitcom - some girl who helped write and create it and was going to play lead actress - she fucked off her boyfriend a co-creator because he was a bellend and he fired her in revenge I think with the assistance of his bum chums.

Spiteful little bastard.

Its Always sunny

Seinfeld

Other than that yeah I’m inclined to agree

Watched The Deer Hunter again the other day, it's on iPlayer and my eldest lad likes to watch "the classics" and hadn't seen it before.

He described it as massively overrated which I found it hard to argue with, sure I thought the sun shone out of its arsehole when I was a film wanker back in the day.

Can't watch Seinfeld anymore - Kramer who I found amusing is no longer.

Just doesn’t work anymore - his wacky antics on Seinfeld after his lynching based diatribe at that Comedy Club.
