Lots of gratuitous gore and violence - Jean Reno doing what he does best Note: It is ALL in French - I know some folk are funny when it comes to foreign films, but personally I don't even realise I'm reading after the first couple of minutes. miamiwhite Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 city of men is a mini series,when some of the characters are older,36 million watched it in brazil,so the figures speak for themselves. elite squad is about a special unit whose task is to bring down the drug dealers in the favelas. a further follow up to elite squad has been released. i watched it the other week,even better than the first. majority of it is true and some of the cast were former dealers,gang members etc in the favelas. the extras are well worth watching first IMO to get a real feel for the story excellent viewing Quote

Felt like a very watered down "made for TV" version of City of God. 4.5/10 I've got Elite Squad downloaded and ready to watch ... I just hope it's better than last night's offering. Quote
