madthatter Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 He looks nothing like Harry, he's a grown up now and everything, which is the first thing you'll notice. It's by Hammer so remember the old creepy films you used to watch when your parents didn't know. It's sort of in that ilk. I enjoyed it for it's campness so I'd give it a 7. I'm no Bazza Norman though. I rarely watch films, what with my small attentions span. Watched this ont weekend and for me all I could see was Harry Potter. Quite liked the Hammer Horror atmos but didn't really scare or excite me enough. I'd give it a 6. Watched Ides of March as well. Ok if you like slow political thrillers. Good performances and dialogue but not enough going on. Another 6 from Mr Empire Quote

Didledee Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) Anyone seen GAMER, was alright, about people controlling people, like you do in COD, but in real life, people on death row have to get past stages without being killed by guns, tanks, big badass enemies etc to earn the chance to live. Pllus finally got round to watching limitless and that was okay, just weird and hard to follow, I didn't get the ending, was he cured, was he not, did he still have his powers but without getting ill. forever white Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Watched Ted the other night. Defiantly worth a watch if you like family guy. Some great one liners. Quote

'Horror' films are usually shit nowadays but this was quite well done. It's a 7 from me too. Quote

What do you reckon? I thought it was excellent but have read a fair amount of negative stuff trying to compare it to The Dark Knight Quote
Danny G Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Waiting for a hookey copy of The Dictator to drop. Looks good if you like his films Quote
stevieb Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 I thought it was decent. The twist was easily spotted but still very enjoyable. I dont think it was as good as The Dark Knight but I think thats because the Joker was such a good character and obviously Heath Ledgers death added a bit of spice to it. It could have also passed for Inception 2 as it was the same fucking cast! Quote
frank_spencer Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 (edited) What do you reckon? I thought it was excellent but have read a fair amount of negative stuff trying to compare it to The Dark Knight Going watching it on Tuesday but i don't expect it to be as good as TDK, as that was as close to a perfect Batman film as you're ever likely to get. I'm also excited to see which Pittsburgh Steelers players made it into the film besides Hines Ward. Edited July 22, 2012 by frank_spencer Quote
DazBob Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Waiting for a hookey copy of The Dictator to drop. Looks good if you like his films Seek and ye shall find. I thought it was a bit of a let down tbh. It's much more of a 'proper' scripted filum than Bruno or Borat. Quote
