"Anyone want a rub off for a quid?"

Brightons goal with Daves spot on commentry was shown on Fantasy Football.

Aris were a great set of fans. I remember seeing a few coppers' hats being flung in the air at half time as they waded into them!

All i really remember about that game was that they didnt stop singing for 90 mins, and being surprised at how many they had brought (around 1000 if my memory is correct) but as you said, great fans

Topical..Think i've been to most Huddersfield away games, but can't remember this one at all.

I think this was the day Dave Longhurst died playing for York, I seem to remember the result paling into insignificance because of it.

we played them twice in a week, think we won int league cup the tuesday before.

iffy onora scored as per usual

league cup makes sense

sure i cut my hols short to attend so probably august

Aye, we beat them 3-0 in the LC and lost 4-0 in the league, i think we had a famous floodlight climber that day in the league game.

Yes..a Bolton fan climbed up the floodlights at a game at Huddersfield , & a year or two later, a Huddersfield fan climbed up the floodlights at Burnden.

I got bitten by a police dog and head butted by a police horse at Huddersfield on the day the lad climbed the floodlights.

I'm no doctor, but the last bit's right.

Not You Tube but The Big Match Revisited on Mon 16th Dec 9.20am on ITV4 is Us v Ipswich. Worthy goal and all that.

Was it a Bolton lad who climbed up the floodlights against Wolves in the 70s?

What's not on You Tube? This is the only bit of the game you need to see.
