August 16, 201213 yr See .......... Burnden WAS always packed. -ish. Great to see Peter Thompson again. And the great youth scheme we had then - Paul Jones, Gary Jones, Allardyce, Reid, Whatmore all coming through around the same time. Good to see free-kick routines worked on in training, and good to see a centre-forward flicking the ball on for another forward playing further up. If only we had a centre-forward who could do that now ...............

August 29, 201213 yr Here we go for the older viewers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bBlD5nTQJY Went to Bristol City in the cup think it was the year after 1980 the match was postponed on the previous weekend and was played midweek for some reason the Bolton fans were on the large paddock mixed in with the Bristol fans, they loved Tricky Tommy Ritchie he ripped us apart that night, on our coach was a certain Wanderers way poster resplendent in black and white check chef trousers a Bolton shirt which was not common in them days and his famous horn. Happy days:)
August 29, 201213 yr Here we go for the older viewers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bBlD5nTQJY Bristol bastard City !!! I was at this one (that's me jumping about on 1-08 ) & went there quite a few times in the 70's & 80's & we lost every bastard time I went, a couple of times it was fairly dodgy & then I didn't go the one time we did win. Bastard place. Just looked it up, & we lost there10 consecutive times, & have only won there once since 1907, which was in 1994. Proper bogey ground.
