burnden Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 The timing of the England Manager announcement couldn't have been worse for us. I have a feeling that Twitchyface will be out to prove a point on Wednesday and we will be facing a Spurs team buoyed by the fact that they could be playing CL football under 'Arry next season. As well as west brom wanting to sign off with wins for woy. It's going to have to be a monumental effort from the lads this week Quote
Zico Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 with the news of Redknapp likely to not be England manager, he's going to be going all out for that CL place now - can't see Spurs not coming at us like they went at Rovers yesterday - going to be very tough, a draw would be a good result that said they ain't won away this year or scored in their last 4 away still, whatever way that the Redknapp situation affects Spurs, I imagine Hodgson will affect WBA still not sure we'll get 4 from the next 2, probably need to stop thinking about it Quote

magic legs Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I would have thought that the whole Woy announcement would be more likely to unsettle WBA rather than the other way around. Quote
onefinfrandsen Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Don't agree with that. I reckon QPR will get pushed about by Stoke. But I agree, take a point and go all out for 3 at the weekend. Yep, qpr looked fragile yesterday, sure hughes will get em fired up for sunday. but they did look doomed yesterday. Quote
Athywhite_Mike Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Bolton 3 - 1 Spurs. Confident of a Bolton victory COYWM Quote
gregbwfc Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Don't want to contemplate a loss, so won't. Would take a draw, but we do ok against this lot usually. Surely we have a home win and clean sheet in us ? A glorious 1-0. Quote
MickyD Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I'd rather a 4-0 so we're not on pins as the 4th official raises the board with 7 minutes added time. Quote

LodgeMorrWhite Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 First and foremost we need to keep it tight. We know how Spurs are going to play and how dangerous they are on the attack and the last thing we need is to concede soft goals chasing the game. Of course we have to go for a win but a three or four nil hammering would stuff our goal difference and could be a massive confidence blow going into the game on Sunday. I say 1 - 0 Spurs, and they'll miss a penalty. Quote
MickyD Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I just hope the Muamba factor comes into play for both fans and players alike. . Quote
no balls Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 take a point right now 1 - 1 Same here. Head is saying this, heart is still hoping for a win. Quote
The True Marple White Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 gotta go shit or bust on wednesday night, 3 points wednesday takes the pressure off for sunday then we can go express ourselves, its all in the psychology of the game, wait til im gaffer Absolutely right!!! 3 points wednesday first and foremost!!! It then takes the pressure off on Saturday a little. These should be treated as 3 cup finals all as important as each other. Quote

Juan.Kerr Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 "Spuds Tatered" screams th' Evening News headline. Bolton 2 Spuds 0 In a true shit or bust, no holds barred encounter Bolton roll their collective sleeves up and go a great way to seal their Barclays Premier League status. Goals from the ;old' Kevin Davies, and a Petrov penalty sending Tottenham fans sadly away, still with their potato headed manager, but sans points. Quote
