I'm going out on a limb here but Gregg Wylde might get his clearance and rip the Championship apart. Eagles, Holden, Chungy, we'll piss it. Hopefully Sam Ricketts will stay and Muamba comes back.

Bogdan

Riley Ream CB LB

Chungy Holden Eagles Wylde

Sordell SKD

I'll go out on an even further limb (I guess) and say that I've seen enough from Eagles in the last few games of the season to suggest he'll be a very important player for us next season. He might be a little lightweight, but he certainly tries.

Good to see in tonight's BEN that Petrov may be staying, I had him down as a definite leaver.

Reading this thread has cheered me up no end, smiled for the first time since Sunday. We will piss that League!

We had this discussion after a match a couple of weeks ago. He really did come across as moody East European nobhead then in the last couple of months he actually looked like he gave a shit, including a fair bit of air punching (always a winner with the ESL). We couldn't decide if he was playing for a contract elsewhere or was a genuine bloke.

I hope he stops.

Bearing in mind all personnel being fit and Fab continuing his career

Bogdan

Riley AN OTHER Ream Ricketts

Chungy Holden Muamba Petrov

K Davies Sordell

Strong enough to mount a serious challenge for promotion

442?

Hmmm

Second highest amount of crosses in the Barclays premier league this season apparently.

IIRC he seemed to step up to his best performances after heard the bad news about Petrov at villa. Maybe he saw the light and thought theres no point wasting time in life because he has run his nuts off and played cracking since. He was our best/only chance of creating a goal for a long time.

Either way if he stays he will be mustard next season in that league.

I think we need a ball winner in the midfield if NRC does go and Muamba doesn't make it back.

I think a midfield pairing of Holden and M.Davies would be a bit soft even for the championship.

I don't know who would be available, affordable and useful though.

I think I remember that before his injury it was actually Holden, and not Muamba, that had completed the most tackles in our team all season. I know there is a lot of pressure being put on his shoulders to come back as good as he was, but if he does I am confident we will have the best centre mid in the league.

Mate of mine is a Close Protection Security Specialist and was working on Sunday night at the player of the year awards. I was talking to my mate last night and he was telling me how he was speaking to Zat Knight for a while who was in bits that we had been relegated and was desperately wanting to stay to help the club bounce back.

He also spoke to David Wheater who basically said that the knee injury in his opinion isnt as bad as the club made out. He has been told by a physio that he will be back in light training in 6-8 weeks apparently. (Also David Wheater's missus is an absolute stunner)

And the best news of the bunch - he was looking after Muamba at the De Vere Hotel Entrance whilst he was waiting for a car to pick him up (which was 20 minutes late) and Muamba was talking about the Cardiac Arrest ordeal and how he has no memory of it. He basically told my mate that he could have claimed on his insurance and would have got ?5 million instantly....but this would have meant that his playing career was over as he wouldnt be able to get insurance again meaning he couldnt play. So he hasnt claimed on the insurance as he is determined to play next season. He even said that he would be back in training in a couple of weeks! He said that if it happens again then he will have to probably call it a day and claim off the insurance.....the man has some bottle. He even signed his programme to me as my mate asked for it, and gave me his Awards goodie bag which was nice of him. Top Bloke

Exactly....i was proper chuffed when my mate was telling me. And then even more chuffed when i got the Player of the Year awards programme signed by Muamba.

He also works for Man City and was Mancinis personal bodyguard on Sunday during the lap of honour and at the parade on Monday....he was showing me all the stuff that the players gave him. He has a football and shirt signed by the whole title winning team......it'll be worth a few bob in a few year that

Way too soon to be even contemplating line-ups and/or formations.

we'd only slag coyle n co off if they didn't make decent preparation for next season,so we'll give the useless gits a hand, and hope Phil Gartside still reads this forum, and gives coyle the nod :glare:

we'll get the team back up,not those jokers who run the club :shiftyninja:

You are right in that so much can and will happen over the next few weeks & months, but its great to see some optimism on here.

We are going to score more, win more, concede less and lose less next season and that has to be something to look forward to.

I am looking forward to seeing Wylde, Sordell and a couple of other new faces next year.

Even in the championship, if every team we play is better organised, fitter, faster and physically stronger than us it won't matter what our starting x1 is. Maybe a shake up of the backroom staff is as important as the playing squad.

With improved fitness levels I'd agree that our current attacking options are good enough to do well in the championship but we'd need,....a specialist left back who can defend (and play Ricketts at right back & as another option at centre half)

.....a physically commanding centre half ( and put Ream on the weights & the kit man diet through the summer )

.......2 experienced ballwinner/ defensive midfielders (assuming NRC & Muamba won't be playing & any games from Holden would be a bonus )

If Coyle toughens the squad up i'll start to have some faith in him, but i still fear he'll be looking at more lightweights & we'll be brushed aside again.

I'd shift Sammy Lee to first team coach, never mind this youth team czar nonsense. He'll knock the team into shape. Deffo need that centre back, not sure about the left back, Alonso will be here, like it or not.

Mark Davies will be gone - he's where the money is coming from to balance the books, along with the big wage earners on their way.

Nice news about Muamba, but I'll be gobsmacked if he kicks a ball for the first team next year.

One other thing - what's that bloke Michael O'Halloran like. Isn't he on loan at Sheff United? Any good?
