birch-chorley Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I think I could smash that walk Not in front of the tv, what sort of speed do they do? I could do 7.5k per hour all day long, 6 and a half hours any good for a medal? Quote
Sweep Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 Might sneak a bronze Indeed he might, it'll be a good achievement if he does, especially as he didn't look great last night. He's done well this morning though. Quote
maaarsh Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 At least 2 of the Russians running to the naked eye, let alone slow mos. Fucking stupid 'sport' Like all the slower swimming strokes, I can not see the point in events where you're asked to cover distance but banned from going as quickly as possible. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 There was a Chilean D/q for running after 2 hours, why after 2 hours Start running Quote

MalcolmW Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 The sprint relay final should be interesting as the last track event. On times this season there is only 0.01 sec between Jamaica and USA. Then some way back less than 0.25 sec between the other six! Quote
maaarsh Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 We should be looking forward to a jog round for a bronze. Alas not. Quote
MalcolmW Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 We should be looking forward to a jog round for a bronze. Alas not. A race for a bronze - yes. A jog??? All of the other entrants ran faster last night that Great Britain has this year (including St Kitts, including Hong Kong. Quote

We were disqualified, but what we were disqualified for certainly didn't speed us up. And that time would have been comfortably 3rd. A clean final exchange and we'd have broken the national record; can't see any other countries matching that for 3rd. Quote
