He's about 6th in world rankings but has beaten most of those above him recently so outside chance of a medal. Always a chance of bombing out, though. Burnley lass did well to reach Hammer Throw final, but would be exceptional to be in top 8 after 3 rounds (7.35pm). The pair who were 7th and 8th in the women's 10k are in the 5k. Only 6 with faster times - 3 Kenyan, 3 Ethiopian! The women's 1500m is a very open race. If it is fast the British duo will get good times, and if it is not fast they are in with a shout. 4x400m - USA should win, but probably not if someone breaks a leg. Pistorius will be interesting - it's usually rough enough without throwing a blade runner into the mix. And 9 teams in the final will increase the chances of an incident anyway. (Still, they've got tomorrow available for a rerun!) Quote
