Theres a lot of blinkered opinions on both side adding fuel to fire in Group 1.

 

Theres also a lot of reasoned opinions asking for the whole picture to be considered in Group 2.

On topic though, and for about the billionth time, if the "justice groups" would simply issue a statement that says "We know Liverpool fans had no tickets and were jibbing in pissed up, but every set of fans did the same back then", not one person on here (or anywhere else) would have a problem with them chasing the Police for explanations.

 

That's all it would take, honestly. The Police would then be free to say "Yep, they turned up in more numbers than we prepared for, we fucked up with the standard of policing, they fucked up with their careless, contemporary attitude".

Miller is a relative young un - doesn't remember the crazy world of us football fans in the 70's and 80's (which the majority of us who were there wouldn't have missed for the world BTW). I'd wager that the others on the 'egg on face', 'hang your head in shame' bandwagon are from the younger end too.

Watched it all happen live and clearly remember seeing crushes outside on reports. Fair enough if you want to expose cover ups and get to the truth, by that works both ways. The poor sods that died: if they're going to get some justice then let's hear some apologies from those creating mayhem outside

Indeed the disaster happened due to many factors;

Shit planning by the cops, fa, Liverpool FC and Hillsborough stadium.

Poor crowd control by the police and untrained stewards.

The idea that caging in football fans was sensible and safe.

Fans turning up late and ticketless with the plan of jibbing in, as was common amongst all fans in that era.

 

The cover up and lack of accountability at all levels since the incident is scandalous and people need punishment for it.
