gregbwfc Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 too late mate esp with boro and the puffs winning Still have to play both of 'em though. At home, must wins. But yeah, a bummer they both won today. A few twists and turns yet. Quote
The Wanderer Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 too late mate esp with boro and the puffs winning win against dingbats and spunkgarglers we will be well in with a chance. believe anewman.....believe!! who was it who had a dream about us beating palace in play off final? get some money on it! Quote
Sweep Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Making the play-offs is going to be very difficult, we would need to win 6 or 7 on the bounce to get close I think. I think that Leicester are already too far ahead being on 57points , so we're really gunning for that final play off place, but it will take another 5 or 6 games even to make up those 7 points that we are adrift. Although you never know I suppose Quote

The Wanderer Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 twas me. 3-0.....getting more convinced by the minute we're going up id written this season off a couple of month ago but I think its doable now. we know we have one of the best squads in the division, dougies turning results in now so we know a good run is achievable. we also know any team can beat any in this division so teams above us will drop points. its in our hands. get that reebok packed out tuesday and get behind the lads! come on you fuckin white men! Quote
gregbwfc Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Just keep winning, see where it takes us. Probably is a bit too late but you never know. Didn't the donkey lashers win something like 8/10 to sneak in on the last day, the season they came up (twats) ? Quote
miamiwhite Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 i think this bandwagon is getting bigger, hopefully this time next week it'll be rammed packed. Come on Bolton, the other teams will be casting a nervous eye over their shoulder at us now,go for it lads Quote
MalcolmW Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Blackburn will inevitably have one eye on the FA Cup on Tuesday evening. Cardiff are home to Derby on Tuesday, then have a blank on Saturday (as they were due to visit Barnsley). The next Tuesday they are home to Leicester who, after today's defeat have home matches on Tuesday against Leeds and Saturday against Wednesday(!) before visiting Cardiff on the 12th. Quote
GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 We will be in the play offs after our win against Blackpool on the last day Cardiff will be in them too as we will beat them in the penultimate game of the season Leicester will blow it and not make the play offs Watford runners up to Hull. Quote

paulhanley Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Put this on another thread as well so apols for repeating but there is a Bolton precedent for this. We were in a very similar position in 1999/2000 at this level. Sam's first season in charge. Promptly went and lost just one and won eight or nine of our last 12, got in the play offs on the last day with a 1-0 over Norwich. Sadly on that occasions that utter c*nt Barry Knight then surfaced. Quote
Hutch Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Looking at the form and fixtures, we can catch Leicester They have won once out of the last 5 and played shit - charlton, Ipswich Peterborough They have a real tough last 6 games - forest, Watford, us If we will there we could get in playoffs Forest are my worry though Quote

MalcolmW Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 thought that was the season we lost to watford at Wembley? No - thanks to Knight we never got to Wembley. The Watford match was the previous season. Promotion was the season after BK/Ipswich. Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Sadly I think we have left it to late, but it's good prep for next season. Quote
MalcolmW Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 If Millwall beat Blackburn in the cup match next Saturday their home fixture against Palace will need to be rearranged. I don't think it can be held until the final midweek of the league season, as Millwall's league match v Blackburn has been rearranged for 23rd April. There is a full fixture list on 16th April and Millwall already have a match on 9th April. The previous week already has a full programme on Easter Monday/Tuesday. The two week before Easter are an international break(!) and modern scheduling does not allow replays in the first week after a match because of policing notice required. If a sixth round replay is needed I suspect that the Blackburn v Cardiff match due on Easter Monday would need to be postponed, As Cardiff v Barnsley is already re-rearranged for 9th April, then I think the Blackburn v Cardiff match would also go to the final midweek. Alf Hartigan Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 it's the hope that's keeping this season alive, and why we took so many today. i think we've left it too late also, but it's teeing up next season very nice. hope we have a big turnout for these next two home games. Quote
bolty58 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Been staying off this section. The moaning cunts do my head in as they have since I first attended Burnden decades ago. Great to read all the positive comments and even better to see the team performing as we all knew they could. Still have a hunch we'll sneak into the playoffs. Quote
