The City story was ongoing for a while - seem to recall it was players that made up much of the fee, players we probably didn't want, didn't want to come to us or wanted too much money.

 

Either way, if if was £17m cash, he would have gone. Sounds like the story has got lost in translation. Or Owen has belateldy hit the bottle.

What if city backed out of deal? Would that be believable. If for instance they didn't need him as their situation changed regarding players available within their squad
