A win for leyth today and it's back in our own hands getting 4th spot and home ascant age in the 4v5 promotion game.

 

If by miracle Sheffield beat salford then we can get 3rd and automatic promotion.

If Huddersfield beat Warrington today then the top 4 is decided, but they all have 2 matches still to play which might juggle positions within the top 4.

Leeds, Wigan and St Helens are through, plus either Huddersfield or Castleford.

Warrington, Hull FC and Catalans cannot progress.

just had my sis and brother in law round for a belated 60th  birthday meal. They are life long Leigh fans. Gutted, he said the lost it at HT versus Hull KR.

Done every away game this season watching Leigh, going to jump off the Runcorn Bridge if we lose at Widnes and Big E get's me a pint in the Albion next Sunday.

I've not seen the results, but I guess from the above posts that Leigh lost. If they can't go up,this season, are they a bit knackered?

 

I remember Big E telling me that Leigh are pretty much the Man Utd of that league, paying massive wages and being the club that people only support because they were thrashing everybody week in and week out.

 

Are they going to be able to keep their squad, or was it "shit or bust" this year?

 

I still don't know why they didn't get promoted considering they pissed their league last year......that's just fucking stupid

Brierley and Hock both say they're staying. Let's see. I'm not sure the latter would be much loss. There's only so much you can achieve by standing around looking angry with a 'penalise me' beacon on his yed.

 

Well what the middle 8s show is that the gap between the best of the championship and the worst of super league is much, much wider than anyone thought. That said Leigh haven't played well since half time against Hull KR. They'd have been well away if they could have hung on there and not fucked so many chances against Wakefield. Missed the Halifax game but yesterday was poor. Never seen them look so nervy. Leeds have made a habit in the last few years of getting to Grand Finals despite finishing 4th or 5th because they know that it's hitting form at the end of the season which counts. Leigh have done the opposite. As have Leeds this year, as it happens.

 

Bound to make the top  four again next year so hopefully the experience will all be registered if the same core set of players stay together.

an awesome performance today..played Widnes off the park in every dept and our best away performance of the season by a country mile.

Which begs the question as to why we were in that position in the first place. We got away with it this season, our Billy big timers need to put a proper shift in next season. Good squad of players, going forward can we be a team like today please? Anyway, we are Suprleague ????????????
