Official Rugby League Thread

I'm assuming there isn't one already? Had a quick look and could find nowt. Makes sense to have an official thread since there seem to be plenty of egg chasing fans on here

Anyhow, this has just been announced:

Will be a fucking brilliant day out, that! Leigh had better make it there now (although if we keep sticking 52 past everyone we shouldn't have much trouble)

Funny season this one apart from cas anybody can beat anybody.but I don't think cas will win the grand final .

As much as it pains me to say it i can see Wigan taking the spoils

Catalans to beat Widnes last game if qualifiers. Widnes to beat Leigh in million pound game. One season, adios

Fancy Wigan too. As a saints can not good saying it. Really could do with cas showing up at Wigan this week

Cas are too good and too strong. Nerves will be a potential issue but I can't see anyone stopping them and rightly so.

Wigan struggled to beat 12 men on Friday and they just don't seem to be themselves this season.

I predict a hull cas grand final with cas winning it

As a Wigan fan ,I think we will come up short can see us getting in the top 4 but I can't see us winning it .

Top 4 definitely for you boys. Saints did you a big favour somehow on Thursday. How Wakefield contrived to lose that game I've still no idea.

Still a glimmer saints could sneak in with the best two games could hope in hudders and Salford but need results go for us. Two wins could do it on points side though

Cracking match last night between cas and saints .won by the golden point . Tomorrow it's the lobby gobblers against Catalans in the million pound game .im going for a lobby gobbler win

The Wakefield result pretty much summed up this season - occasional brilliance but absolutely dreadful far too many times. I can't recall a season when we've made so many basic errors in so many games. Discipline has also been poor with far too many stupid penalties given away. I don't think we even deserved to make the Super 8's to be honest

Got to agree didn't deserve to make it looking forward to tonight and tomorrow's matches

Hypocrisy at it's finest

RL fans slagging off Union for being won by kicks

And then they're wanking over last night and a drop goal wins it

Not that I personally have owt against kicking

RL fans don't tend to slag Union off for games being won by kicks. It's more about a game dominated by kicking the ball away from possession. Kicking in RL tends to be forced as a last option or a tactical decision to catch the opposition off guard or to gain ground with a 20:20

come on LEIGH

Sshhhhhh, I'm casting bait here!

My uncle was an RL man who emigrated to NZ in 1953.

He could not put the words Rugby Union in his letters home - he just referred to "That silly kicking game". Of course it was far worse in those days.

He had played RU in the Army to a decent standard, but clearly preferred RL, and twice was in Lancs Junior Cup winning teams.

If ru was played without any defence there'd be less kicking

Apparently last nights match was the best one since Sky got hold of the game and made it a summer run around. One every 25 years isn't a good return. Think I'll be dead by the time the next "classic" is aired.

Are Leigh back in the biz league now then?

Gutted for Leigh

Do relegated teams get any parachute payment...or does relegation fuck them financially?

Only consolation, are trips to Canada, France, London, and piss up in Blackpool.

Only consolation, are trips to Canada, .

That alone surely makes it far better than staying in the top division. That'll be brilliant

No danger of him getting a visa anyway ????

A flight going tomorrow from Manc to Toronto. only £ 800 one way. Gulp.
