If the bird strike was on final approach and caused some sort of engine/power failure, then maybe there was no time to manually drop the gear?

Pilot did report an emergency, supposedly about a bird strike.

Lots of unknowns at the moment, so leave them to do the investigation.

We all chat shite and speculate about a load of topics on here before and during investigations. Do you not? 🤣

My mate Keith on twitter says it was hijacked by a Muslim terrorist.

Odd thing about the internet these days is when you fuck up the entire world sees it and in this case a football forum discusses it... at least when I have fucked up in the past I have got away with it.

As my first statement the footage really is very surreal and unbelievable, almost like a computer simulation but with real deaths

Yeah and he mistook a concrete block wall for the WTC...

Kinell, reads like you've spit your dummy out.

A simple post that you've taken to heart?

Your dog hasn't died has it?

Not at all

i merely commented on a topic you’ve already made about 20 comments about.

You ended the response by saying “leave them to it” like my opinion was in some way going to influence the outcome.

I will leave them to it, whist also commenting about it on here you plum.

As for @Zulu, I can’t help living rent free in there 🥰

It's on the America thread too.

The third big one in a short time.

A proper headscratcher this.

Extremely grim that, helicopter on training exercise by some accounts.

Aye.

Black Hawk.

Some details have been made available over instructions given to both aircraft, from air traffic control.

The plane was asked to use a different runway if possible, which they confirmed they could.

Helicopter was told to get in behind the passenger jet.

Obviously, more to come on that.

Far too early to speculate.

lets see what the investigation tells us in due course.

Didn't take long.

No speculation yet though is there.

Not even in the media.

No doubt you missed the findings by the Koreans of duck remains in both engines.

How the hell does this even get remotely close to happening with today's technology. Madness

That one in Philadelphia is fucking grim

Awaiting the findings of the NTSB... National Trump Speculation Board

I must say, it was fair moving.

The conspiracy whacks are having a field day with it

Fucking hell. At least they died instantly.

On the pilots' equivalent of Wanderers Ways, some Lear Jet Jockeys were speculating a partial flap or a yaw damper failure in a 44 year old aircraft... seems there was a mandatory maintenance notice called an "Airworthiness Directive" some years ago. Zero conspiracies.
