They mentioned the route to the Southern Indian Ocean on his simulator. But they had the information from virtually day 1 but then took forever to release it. But when you watch the documentary they aren’t actually clear that he had simulated that route. They started drawing over the screen and its seemingly got dismissed.

Why no suicide note? Why not just nose dive it into the sea as soon as it cleared Malaysia?

Can the pilot really turn off the oxygen for the rest of the plane?

Can the pilot access the technology to switch off all the radars?

I’m not sure the answer to those last 2 is ‘yes’. So that doesn’t add up.

IF, he could do those 2. Why wait 7 hours before the plan ran out of fuel? What benefit is that to anyone? What statement is he making?

There was no evidence to suggest he did this or was in the mindset to do this.

Regards suicide notes

That German guy who took off from Barcelona en route to Germany

I don't think he left one

Though they quickly deduced that was his aim

It seems to come down to whether you trust the insamat(?) Satellite data that the plane headed south over the Indian Ocean

I'd be pissed off on that plane, looks like a secondary system has failed so rather than fly to destination and have a grounded aircraft they are burning fuel and landing back at Heathrow.

According to folk on twitter anyway.

One for @Marc505 here really

Conversations between pilot and ATC of an A380 currently stuck over the Irish sea

I heard that too! Same as @Winchester WhiteI'd be pissed off at that, saw someone else saying that flight is always delayed for hours as it is!

Then again, I suppose they'd be flying past an area of ocean where right now hundreds of people are risking their lives looking for people who skipped over taking every safety precaution they could.

Not down (well, maybe simulated) but this is incredible stuff. F-16 pilot casually answering podcast questions while he takes off, has a few dogfights and lands. Never seen owt like it.

There can’t be many better jobs than that.

Ryanair plane lost comms over London in the last hour or two, Typhoon scrambled from near here and was doing around 700mph by the time it got near Luton, my Facebook is alive with people freaking out about the sonic boom!

Turns out it was over 800mph at one stage! It was called off fairly quickly so must have fixed it within a few mins 😂

Can't see anything on t'internet yet.

Seems similar happened in March this year, and also in 2019 too.

I'm sure there will be some doorbell camera footage on bbc news by breakfast!

Co-pilot on an Alaskan Airlines jet tried to shut the engines down mid-flight the other day, had to be removed from the cockpit and restrained.

Turns out he was on mushrooms!

"Do you *really* have to intercept me?"

Why was it intercepted?

Think it’s comms weren’t working properly.

Id love to see a fighter jet outside my plane window moving into an attack position 💩

A couple or tweets seem to suggest the lost comms were pilot error, so no wonder he sounded a bit frustrated

Both pilots sounded like a pair of public schoolboys discussing a wedgie
