I took my nephew for his first airshow ( aged 13) and he was blown away by the Harrier and he loved the B-52 on static . Same as, F-16 has always been my favourite so was like a kid at Christmas on that Viper line! How great was it that you could get so close to that B-52 and actually touxh it, inside the bomb bay too with all sorts of bits of metal hanging around at head height. Felt like H&S had a day off, brilliant. Size of it was mind blowing, especially when you think they used to scramble 40 in a row off! Haha, gradient wasn't that steep though 😃 Edited August 9, 2024 by Marc505 Quote

I think the show missed some Heavies though but a sign of the times perhaps , gutted the u2 only displayed friday . Quote

Main crowds will be in-between all 3 piers pal. It gets beyond rammed. Reckon the Sandunes towards St Anne's would be a perfect vantage point. They stopped all parking there so you'd have to park further down and walk back towards St Anne's. Equally if you head Bispham way, The Highlands pub is belting, sea facing beer garden and you could hop over the tram tracks on to the green and head left. Don't touch the town centre. There's a dog ban on the actual beach a little further towards Cleveleys. Between the Vue cinema and Anchorsholme park if you head that way. Only a mile or so. Quote
Casino Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Be your end if we go up...usually park near that cafe on the sea side of the road Is it no dogs there this time of year? Quote

Lancaster is flying again though so that may come over! Quote

Yeah basically from that cafe thing with the silly windmills to kingsway which is just passed the main bit at Cleveleys. Such a pointless operation really. Low tide today was 10ish so will be roughly 11ish tomorrow btw.... Quote

Spider Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Plane geeks Get on flight radar and have a butchers at the Atlantic flights. Apparently the airspace has had to be closed and there’s some flights just going round in circles over the mid Atlantic. Turkish flight TK903 just had to do about 30 circles at 40,000ft. Bet the passengers are calm. Quote
jmjhb Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 (edited) Why would they close airspace in the middle of the Atlantic? Edit: due to an equipment outage Edited November 10, 2024 by jmjhb Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 If the clip doing the rounds is genuine footage of the Azerbaijan Airlines crash, it is remarkable that people survived. Quote
