There can’t be many better jobs than that.

Knew a bloke flew Tornados and F-16s. He said he basically flew from piss up to piss up around the country. He loved every minute.

One dead and multiple injures on a flight from Heathrow to Singapore as a result of turbulence!

That's some bad weather, and questions of weather radar on Boeing aircraft.

Sounds a right mess.

Horrendous this, 6,000ft drop in 3 minutes, 9,000ft drop in 5 minutes in an airliner sounds rough.

I wouldn't be getting on a plane again if I was on that

Had an air pocket drop over the Alps the pilot told us afterwards was 300ft which didnt sound a lot despite people lifting out of seats. In context it’s about three times the biggest drop on Tower of Terrot.

That huge drop was to get to the emergency divert airport quicker rather than the turbulence event itself. So they've been thrown about violently and then had that descent, awful. Think I'd be like @Zico you'd have a hard time getting me back on a plane after that

The videos of the state of the plane afterwards, most of them look like that after long haul flights anyway people leave them in a fucking pigsty don't they!

I find it amazing that a plane can be subjected to that much of a battering and still make it out in one piece.

And the pilot must have some nerve to land after that!

Surely you don’t turn right on a long haul

Just what I needed before a flight to America this weekend.

Im ok with flying, but my missus is going to spend 9 hours shitting herself.

must admit, I might be leaving my seatbelt on having seen that.

One down in Sao Paulo.

Just seen the footage... it was a French ATR, they have bitten like this before... when descending from altitude they can be prone to icing on the "short chord" wings near  the aileron hinges... result can be loss of control and a flat spin... game over.

PS I am a saddo who finds reading accident reports fascinating

Video is awful, made me feel a bit sick actually knowing there's people on that.

Air Show over here this weekend.

Can hear summet warming up down the coast.

This year's Typhoon display is well worth catching if possible, proper raw.

Really impressed with the Typhoon display this year at Fairford , even with a low cloud base

Were you there on the Saturday? It was a shame none of the displays could do much, bit of Hawk overkill as well 😂

Static display was superb though

Yes we did Saturday mate , brilliant Static especially the F- 16 line up . I took my nephew for his first airshow ( aged 13) and he was blown away by the Harrier and he loved the B-52 on static .
