Guest JamesBond Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 In one. He couldn't be attitude that's the reason he has got shut of him because he's quite happy to let Moritz and Beckford take the piss Beckford and Moritz do what Dougie wants, Eagles doesn't - hence poor attitude. Quote
passmosster Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Can't see Beckford as a one up striker. I've yet to see him win a header. Wouldn't it be lovely at home to see the team tear into the opposition from the first minute and take them apart? Instead of which we all line up on the edge of our penalty area and invite them to attack us. Quote
EyesRight Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Threlkelds not on your list pal?! Sort it out half a job. Copied and pasted it to be honest mate, shoddy work though haha Quote
COYW Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Not forgetting Sordell & Andrews. Two more great buys by Coyle on mega money and giving fuck all back to the club. Andrews has been a permanent fixture in a top six side this season and Sordell has scored as many as Beckford in a team that's been battling relegation all season. Quote
Marc505 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Good luck to all our released players, no bitterness from me. Thanks for everything Andy Robinson! Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Best goals to minutes played ratio in our squad this season. Similar to Klasnic both finished for me. Quote

Okay COYW, lets put it this way, certain players suit certain managers and the way that manager wants to play. Dougie says he has been held back by some of the players either unwilling or unable to adapt. There's not a lot of excuses next season. I'm assuming Andrews will be transfered / released - hopefully the former rather than the latter. Dougie has said he would work with Sordell if the lad was willing to go along with Dougie's rotation policy - if not he could leave (I'm quoting from what was written in the Bolton News). We shall have to see what this brings us, however, Dougie had better get of to a good start next season or I think the fans will be on his back. Quote
jagermoot Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Bit annoyed that we didn't get any money for eagles, although the freeing up of wages from mears, knight and eagles will benefit, I still think we could have shifted them on for a few quid anyway, unless his issues are known in the football community and no one wants to put their hands in their pockets. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back at Burnley or at a promotion chasing club that he'll have a hand in their good fortunes Quote

Traf Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I've heard he is a miserable so and so who "hasn't stopped complaining since he arrived". So what? Dougie's happy clappers aren't setting the world on fire. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Andrews fits in very well in a Brighton side that passes teams to death. Found wanting when he's ten yards either side of the halfway line. Always thought Knight was a harsh scapegoat at times but better for all parties to just move on. As grateful as I am for Eagles scoring that goal vs Blackburn last season (a game that will live long in a lot of people's memories), he just didn't look interested whenever he played this season.
