gonzo Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 After years of watching England in the pub I reckon Im going to give it a miss this year. Settle down at home with a few tinnies and actually watch the game rather than shouting at a big screen. How about you lot?
jules_darby Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 The Saturday game I'm at cirque du soleil at the arena so will have to spill out into one of the boozers in Manc Not looking forward to that
EyesRight Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I'll be in the pub, rarely get to watch games in the pub with an atmosphere. Drenched after each goal, love it.

Must admit the froch groves beer banger and boxing bonanza the week before and the wways piss up shortly after the group stage may effect my final decision :-)
Youri McAnespie Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I've just thought about past England matches in tournaments, I could remember where I was watching/supping for every game (up to and including Algeria in the last WC - where everything became blurred) - in most cases I can even recall who I was with and even what I was drinking... Having recollection like this must be what getting owd and senile is like, it's nearly always football related too, these 'recollections with alarming clarity'. This might be my first World Cup since Mexico '86* in which I've not drank booze or got pissed at some point... * I was an early starter, which explains a lot.
Traf Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Looks like it'll be a pub in Dhaka. Supervising the kids on the production line?

L/H White Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 All the England games in the pub, really looking forward to the 11 kick against Italy. Watch every game at home even the 2am ones I can't wait
Traf Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Looks like it'll be a pub in Dhaka. It's not somewhere I'd fancy for my jollies.

Marc505 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Week 1 in Majorca, rest of it Ill mix pub and home. I don't mind watching England in the pub although Ill still record the games at home to watch again if something good happens. You never know you might hear Clive Tyldsley utter something that will go down in history if England do something
