Sweep Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Ill watch the first one in the pub...and the probably the rest at home
stevieb Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Pubs have been utterly shit last few tournaments but that's probably down to them being rammed full of cunts who never watch football unless its the world cup. 2006 world cup was good in Manc, big screen ont triangle, absolutely roasting, twats everywhere kicking off, lauching stella bottles and drinking ont streets. All that was missing was a barrage of plastic furniture INGERRRLAAAND Think its gonna be home for me and the lad this time.
Marc505 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Just found out about this theyre setting up at Granada Studios, tickets are free so could be a decent crowd and atmosphere. www.itv.com/worldcup/feverpitch Im sure outdoor screening of England games has been banned in Manchester after all that hasn't it stevieb? There was the near riot at Triangle and trouble at Castlefield as well. I know theyre showing all games bar England's at Screenfields this time to try and avoid disorder

Agreed, tis basically twat season when England are in the euros or world cup. i can only stand the odd game at the pub as i normally get the overwhelming urge to smack someone. I recall 04 when we got knocked out by Portugal, all the local idiots were chasing taxis up and down the street pelting rocks at them because they somehow got it into their heads that the Asian drivers were in fact Portuguese. stevieb Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Yeah they've banned it every tournament since, screenfields have done all but England for the last couple. I reckon the casinos will be fun for the England Italy 11pm kick off.
L/H White Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I move into my own place a few days before it starts, new TV purchased Friday especially for it I've never been this excited for a major championship before

Super Bock Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Works summer bash for the Uruguay game in Sheffield. I've had a proper result with this because I'm based in London so I'm getting time off work to travel up watch it. It's going to be extremely difficult keeping my mouth shut and not shouting obscenities at Suarez. If he gets one of our players sent off i'll probably be handed my p45 in the morning.
superjohnmcginlay Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 First game will somewhere in London, I'm at Lords all day for England Sri Lanka I dread to think the state I'll be in

Big City Girl Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I prefer being in the pub as it's more of an atmosphere, although I'll probably choose the pub carefully to avoid the absolute bellends
Big E Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I prefer being in the pub as it's more of an atmosphere, although I'll probably choose the pub carefully to avoid the absolute bellends like the idiots who make you sign card board boxes?
