One of the best days of my life.

Don't think i've ever gone as mental as I did when Fabian equalised.

Brilliant day.

Black boots and no names on shirts, looks proper retro now.

That season in general was superb - cup final, promotion at Wembley and 2 incredible atmospheres at Burnden in the semi's en-route to Wembley. Happy times

Season ruined by the massive but season after :-)

Fuck me how good did we have it during that era.

No wonder some of us are acting like spoilt brats now.

Cup finals, play off finals,23 man brawls, last minute winners...you name it we've had it.

Missed mixus goal having a piss, never tried to sort my self out so quickly in all my life

Well and Truely pay back for the Friday night game at their place, the shit we got that night coming out so I made the most of it at wembley!

A super day, maybe the best ever.

It came up on my time hop app today.

It's in my top 3 of best days of my life.

Cardiff was better.

Probably because I wasn't sat in the car listening to GMR at Quarry Bank bastard Mill.

At least you could listen to it. I was stuck on a coach on the way to spain

When we were 2-0 down I nearly got thrown out of Wembley for threatening the bloke behind me who was booing and slagging off the team. Perhaps he was related to Anewman.

These special times keep you going when times are hard, we will return and when we do savour it, and remember the lean times it's what makes the good times so good.

Very true

Was a magical day, one of the greatest I've had supporting the wanderers

Me and poppa Spencer watched it on eurosport from our hotel room in Disneyland Paris.

Which was much to mothers disgust who dragged my little brother off to 'actually have a bloody holiday'.

I remember my lemon cola from the diner tasted extra tasty that night.

Vodka and whizz (old skool) then JD in Cheers had me chundering.

I couldn't watch their penalty

Still not seen it to this day just in case the space time continuum breaks and we end up losing.

Beyond magical that day.

A Reading fan asked me what it was like to lose at wembley twice in one season?

He nearly broke me, but I have had a dislike of them ever since!

We had so many injuries that day - 3 or 4 key players were out. It was amazing that we managed to outlast Reading in the last 15 mins and in to extra time.

Remember being on the train home naming all the teams we'd be playing in the Prem for the first time in years.

As soon as he saved the pen I knew we'd win. Was utterly convinced of it.

Aye, it just seemed inevitable somehow

You just thought we were gonna keep scoring

This is how I choose to remember Owen Coyle. I don't care if I'm deluding myself.

We all knew... & so did they

Had my 9 year old son skriking his eyes out when they got awarded that pen, an happy boy an hour later.

And it is how you should

OC the player that is

For me his finest was at Goodison

OC The manager was another bloke in my head...
