Guest Blixa Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Like Garvan being sent back two weeks ago? Who said that? I recall asking if he'd gone back, not a clue or a care if he's here, there of anywhere. Feel free to quote something to prove I'm wrong. I do like to keep you busy with a bit of cut n paste. Quote
Guest Blixa Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Owen Garvan - sent back, sent to Coventry, sent packing into oblivion with Dougie? Not that I'm overly concerned, but be nice to free up the wages and a loan slot. Saving you the job, work is a bit quiet... Quote
matty2094 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) Last we'll see of Beckford then, gone on loan to Preston till end of the season @OfficialBWFC: LOAN OUT: Jermaine Beckford has joined @pnefc on a loan deal that will initially run until January. #BWFC @OfficialBWFC: In January Beckford's loan with @pnefc will be extended until the remainder of the season, including any potential play-off games. #BWFC Edited November 20, 2014 by matty2094 Quote

Carlos Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 (As with this division) Beckford should be pushing 30 a season at that level. He's next season's Cravies. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Good riddance to the lazy shithouse. Quote
superjohnmcginlay Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 If he's gone out who's coming in? Quote
Elson Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 If he's gone out who's coming in? Gary Hooper? Quote
Guest Blixa Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Free up wages for Eidur? My first thought too. Quote
kent_white Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I doubt he'd get Eidur in as a direct replacement. He might get him in in addition to somebody else though. Quote

paulhanley Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Well .... it's taken Lennon only a month or so to work out Beckford. Gave him his chance - and now he's shown him the door. Good decisions from a Bolton manager. A novelty. Quote
Bigtoe Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Will that take him to the end of his contract? Quote
Zico Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I doubt he'd get Eidur in as a direct replacement. He might get him in in addition to somebody else though. A direct replacement for what though? He was turd and offered nowt Quote
Carlos Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 Eidur comes on, scores, beats chest, kisses badge etc. everyone's a winner. Quote
Blondi Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 For Beckford to have gone, surely Lennon must be close to bringing in another striker? I can't see us relying too much on an ageing player like Eidur, who tends to play much deeper these days. I would guess that maybe Lennon has been shown some encouragement on a short term deal for Hooper? Quote
DazBob Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Maybe Mayton's unexpected emergence is the reason, rather than because Gooper is lined up? Quote
Con Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Just had a look on a PNE board to see the reation to Beckford going. Someone who reckons is in the know reckons Medo is off there too, with that Garner they have over to us. Quote

Sweep Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I presume that we'll be paying the majority of Beckfords wages whilst he's a Preston Quote

COYW Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Wasn't Grayson his manager at Leeds in the Third Division? I think that's when he had his best goal scoring spell. Could be a good move for both parties. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Certainly worked for Sordell re-joining his old boss! Quote
