Well .... it's taken Lennon only a month or so to work out Beckford. Gave him his chance - and now he's shown him the door. Good decisions from a Bolton manager. A novelty.

For Beckford to have gone, surely Lennon must be close to bringing in another striker? I can't see us relying too much on an ageing player like Eidur, who tends to play much deeper these days. I would guess that maybe Lennon has been shown some encouragement on a short term deal for Hooper?

Maybe Mayton's unexpected emergence is the reason, rather than because Gooper is lined up?
