With McNaugton as over lapping full back?

I've seen milk turn quicker.

If we went with 352 then I doubt McNaughton would start unless he was the right side of the 3

We have not signed McNaughton to leave him out of the team

I've seen nothing so far to suggest freedman shares my view that Lee is a waste of space so hell play too

I think you're bang on. Expect to see a lot more 0-0 0-1 1-0 or even the occasional exciting 2-1.

Although I like Danny's team, this is Douglas '1-0' freedman we are talking about.

Even if it funded 3 lads who want to play for 10k a week?

Except that it hasn't.

Given we still have to pay Watford 1M this year & we only got 500K for him, that still leaves us 500K in the red.

Not an accountant are you?

Selling him for 500k and clearing his wage leaves us with 1.5 million in the budget, does it not?

Ah! Now I knew you'd mention wages.

I didn't mention wages as I'm not privy to that information.

Tell me, how does that work? When we tried to buy Beckford there was a hold up over payments due to him from Leicester. Did we have payments due to Sordell? Have Burnley matched his wages?

Even if we have 1.5M back in the budget, a Million still needs to go to Watford. So using your basic theory, only 500k is actually available at most.

That won't cover your 3 players at 10k a week will it? You don't have to be an accountant to work that one out ;)

500k transfer fee plus a big signing on fee which effectively covered the difference in wages between us and them

That would be true only if we had to pay the £1m if we sold him.

As we had to pay the £1m to watford, whether we sold him or not, that is a sunk cost.

We have cleared <sellingprice> + <wages> from our budget.

But in terms of cash flow it is still a payment to make. Won't affect FFP in P&L terms for this year I doubt as most of depreciation probably accounted for, but I doubt we are cash rich for paying any fees up front which reportedly some of the Juke fee is.

Guiddetti on loan itk ( this is just a guess I really have no itk info. Just thought I would throw a name in seeing as others are).
