  • I'm not convinced about that. He comes across as more deluded than Coyle on occasions.

Thanks fellas

I thought the Mason deal was done and dusted??

FFS

Cardiff won't let him out on loan until he signs a contract. Bet Mason would rather be a free agent in 12 months time and sort himself out a good deal and/or first team football. Very frustrating relying on loan players which is why DF deserves a bit more time and understanding IMO. He obviously doesn't want to do it but with no money he's no choice.

Agreed, and it would be very frustrating to bring him in on loan knowing we won't get him permanently because he has signed a new contract. Transfers seem very difficult these days, I don't know if it has always been this way or because Freedman gives more frank interviews than previous managers.

Be a waste of time and money without a Juke type. Loan 1 was hardly a success.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mason upfront with Chris Wood, but I doubt we can afford to buy either of them. Maybe 2 loans?

Would also like that.

Mason won't come on loan unless he signs a new contract. In his position I wouldn't as it immediately puts his transfer value up and makes it harder to get away.

Why would Leicester loan Woods out? He is an experienced player and there's plenty who would pay good money for him.

If Leicester don't see Woods as yet ready for PL action there is a lot to be said for ensuring he has a good chance of game time in the Championship by loaning him out.

Why sell him if he has potential? If he scores well on loan he could be in contention in the second half of the season, match fit and raring to go - better than having played 10 minutes 6 times in matches already lost.

I'm not saying they will loan him, but I do see it as a possibility.

He won't be first choice now Ulloa had been signed. They've still got Nugent and Vardy too so he won't play. Loan will suit them and the player.

Me three

The swap deal that's been doing the rounds is chungy for pilkington at Norwich. According to the Sunday people

I'd take that, Lee done nowt for last couple of seasons, like the guy, but think he needs a change of scene (man)

Would also take pilkington. Decent player

Win win for us ????????????????

I'd be happy with that. And I'm sure the Colls contingent would be absolutely delighted.

Athy Whites (real and fake) would have a home town heroe for the first time since, errrrm Nicky Hunt!

I think we'd be forced to do that deal but it would be with a heavy heart, Chungy is leaving us after his contract is up at the end of this season and it gives us a chance to get something in return for LCY.

Would we save that much in wages with a swap for a Prem player?

I'm not sure and not sure it's DF's way

Unless he really fancies the player of course

I don't see this as a goer really

Not for

Me

No I don't either unless with Chungy in the last year of his contract we decide to get something while we can. I think it would depend if DF rates Pilkington, if he will sign a longer contract here,if he wants to come back up here with us and if we can afford the wages. Can see the problem

I would guess that Pilkington is on less wages than Chungy - probably not by a great deal but less all the same. Norwich would of course therefore have to offer Chungy more than they are playing Pilkington - and that'd be the difficulty in doing a deal

I'm in the Lee camp so don't want him to go

I'd like Pilkington though

he's definitely a dougie signing

but he is always picking up injuries and that frustrates me in players.

Would take that deal all day long. Pilkington would chip in with a few more goals than Lee and without a reliable striker we need goals from our wide men.

Can't see it happening though.
