kent_white Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I will join you, just what we need, a prolific goal scorer Why is everyone so concerned about signing a 'prolific' goal scorer. Surely it doesn't matter what types of goal they score as long as they score lots of them? Quote
Carlos Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 We've already got loads of profligate strikers. Quote
hughmungus Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Have we signed Dawson, Hutton, Mason & Juke ?Nah Super Dougie never wanted them or was likely to be able to bid for them, it was just us mugs who hoped he would when we bought our season tickets Quote
bwfc87 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Don't know alot about Murray, is he actually any good or is he a one season wonder? Quote
kent_white Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Don't know alot about Murray, is he actually any good or is he a one season wonder? He's scored goals wherever he's been and importantly has scored them at Championship level. Quote
Zico Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Don't know alot about Murray, is he actually any good or is he a one season wonder? last season he got 30 in 42 for palace, the season before that 6 in 37 22 in 42 and 12 in 32 for brighton in league one but any excitement of signing would be based on his one great season for palace, so depends on how you define a one season wonder and what level counts Quote
ex_midlandwhite Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Marcos Alonso manmarked him out of all their set pieces when we drew 0-0 at their place :-) Quote
tomski Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Marcos Alonso manmarked him out of all their set pieces when we drew 0-0 at their place :-)Impossible:) everyone knows he was shite at defending! Quote
Farrelli Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 He was shite at defending when the ball was on the floor, as it tends to be quite often. Quote
tomski Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Or perhaps his game was developing as he was only a young lad. Quote
Farrelli Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Probably. We definitely missed his attacking skills last season. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 In other news, Joe Riley out on loan to Oxford Utd until Jan 1st. Probably as good thing, hope he gets some games under his belt given McNaughton will be first choice Good move for him if he gets a regular run in the first team and play 'proper' games instead of against kids at low intensity in the U21's. waffer cup 07 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Murray currently on tour in States with Palace, scored 3 goals so far in pre season. Quote

Guest Blixa Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 But football is shit in the States ( I will get it in before the moaning crew start ) Is it as shit as lower league Austria? We need a sliding scale of shitness to compare and contrast. Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) Fontaine rumour crap according to Nixon, also Glenn Murray's missus has ruled him out of a move to Bolton. Edited July 28, 2014 by Mounts Kipper Quote
Garrp Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Murry is currently playing centre back for Palace against the Richmond kickers Quote
Biggish Dave Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Maybe Murrays missus wouldn't be able to sleep and the kids would be crying at the thought of coming to Bolton Quote
