You know I hate to agree with you, but he was playing well and chipping in with his fair share of goals at the beginning of the season.

 

I won't miss "end-of-the-season" Baptiste, but we could definitely use "start-of-the-season" Baptiste in our trimline squad.

This. Also think Blackburn gazumped us for spearing but he wanted to sign here. Am confident Juke has told em he wants us and its a case of driving the price down.

You see, that's not going to happen.

 

Ultimately he's a commodity, with the money needed by Boro for another deal. We could do the waiting and haggling for Beckford last year because we were the only game in town. Juke is a wanted man and as such, we have to pay the rate or give up.

 

He could refuse to go to Derby or whoever, but let's be honest, he's a player with a limited shelf life. He needs security and if Derby offer him a decent wage and first team football, he'll be there is a shot rather than sit and wait for a move that's might never happen.
