It (an area gaining an asian majority) can and often does depreciate the value of a property, the whos and whys of it are pretty distasteful but it is an undeniably real phenomenon.

I drive past everyday and would say the mosque has a minimal bearing on the traffic - you get the odd car stopped outside forcing cars into one lane from two but you get that all the way up the road.

 

Do most of the folk who go not walk anyway? They mostly seem to live in the area and you see loads of little ones walking in with their high vis jackets on.

 

I think the traffic argument is a poor one to be fair. Nothing would get built anywhere in the country if it was rejected for increased traffic.

The immediate area may well be, but I'm presuming it's size will make it visible from 'white' enclaves or areas - without going into the rights and wrongs of it, if you were selling up it would no doubt limit the pool of potential buyers, it becomes a buyer's market, attitudes that are, say, less keen on cultural diversity, in turn aid those who arguably aren't too keen on cultural diversity either - and that statement makes sense somewhere.

Ok look at it this way, the last house I sold on halliwell was originally valued at 110k, it went on the market and no whites were interseted, only asians came looking and you know what tight cunts they are and their offers were patchetic, I eventually settled for 82k taking a massive 28k hit on the value of the place. Now I purchase a property out the way and then some cunt decides to build a super mosque not too far away. You think any respectable folk will offer what its worth having just driven past that hideous thing with some cunt wailing all day from it??

I would hope they'd be objecting if a Wayne Walker wanted to build a big meat emporium or Mecca a huge Bingo Hall, I'd also like to hope potential buyers (white British buyers) of property in the area would be equally put off by a big Meat shop or Bingo palace - but I fear, in reality, a Mosque would be seen as worse.

 

It then becomes a buyer's market for those without such reservations, ironically, folk for whom a huge nearby Mosque would be seen as a plus point would theoretically be able to buy at a reduced market value.

 

I can acknowledge concerns of folk who live nearby, I also think the attitude and lack of awareness from the likes of Harkin stinks, but I also think the whole affair hasn't reflected well on anyone from the town.
