just watched the goals

first - lonergan...do people really think hes better than bogdan?

second - ream (i really, really hope its just a question of wheater not being ready)

third - referee and dervite

Not specifically for that goal but it sems every big striker knows they can play on Ream and beat him for strength.

Fuckin unbelievable.   We'll be lucky to sell half the fucking stand and people are already panicking about where they're gonna sit.

It may well be. I just get the feeling he is doing the job Eddie Davies and Gartside want of him and they will hope to see gradual improvement in academy players and look to rebuild over a few years, I guess similar path to Derby

What job is that though? Turning the entire fan base against himself and boring us all to death?

It wont be long before the fans turn on him at the matches and we all know where that ends up.

He's not had just one game in charge though, he's had around eighty league games to sort it out. It's not just about signing the right players, it's about organising what you've got to get the best out of them. Constantly shuffling the pack until he gets it right isn't really an option when he's already spent the money he was given.

Just watched the pre Watford interview with Dougie.

Interestingly he said that we have "a couple of formations".

As I said with yesterday's formation, I reckon that is his one for the better teams and I think we'll play it differently when he thinks we can win and dominate games.

If he was half as clever as he thinks he is we'd be pushing for the play offs.

Not kicking off about transfer budgets, try and bring in a few kids who could be good in a couple of years time and gradually have some youth players come through.

I don't know what his goals are but there has never been any noise that ED and Gartside aren't happy with what he is doing.

He aint getting sacked folks.

If he can get away with the shite he served up last season without getting the bullet, he's pretty much safe.

Why? I dunno. Maybe it's all part of a masterplan we are unaware of.

If you were C.Davies or Bedkford would you really want to play for DF?

C.Davies loaned out and not needed last season

Beckford dropped for missing a penalty vs Boro (when on a decent run of goals)

Both not needed when loans came in (Juke, Mason), Beckford playing now and again.

They'll know they're not DF choice if he can help it, very poor that we have to right off a game and play catch-up with no strikers worth it

This made me laugh and imediatly start crying like a hysterical woman with a hormone imbalance.

Even wolves are above us

2nd bottom and staying there

but he's got his own mural and everything

No.1 - are they making up songs for him now 'he came from partisan he's better than zidane'?

No.2 - why the fook have they painted him on the wall?

Does Karl oyston own a building firm and won the contract for watfords new stand? Not convinced they went for the expensive option?

I've seen enough now. I'd get Chris Powell in.

Wasn't fooled by the run we had at the end of last season, was nice to see a few wins but we only rolled over a few poor / out of form sides.

Seen nothing from DF's transfer dealings to give me any optimism that we'd be any more competitive than last season

Didn't fancy us to get anything yesterday, partly because Watford have a cracking front-line at this level, partly because our back line are as slow as boats when faced with balls over and down the sides of them

Nothing to suggest we'll be any better off after ten games with this set of players than we were last time. DF will get that many, but if we are that badly off by then, time to go.

Massive respect to all those who went down there in difficult travel conditions and endured what they saw, you deserved a lot better. Listened in on radio from Clitheroe Food and Beer Festival, one of my better decisions, cracking day out if you've not been

First  - Mills and Lonergan (Deeney was left on his own by Mills)

Second - Pratley, Moxey and Ream - Pratley fucked up, Moxey out of position and Ream suckered

Third - spot on it should have been a free kick to us but then dervite missed the ball

All three were very soft goals

I'd like to know why our back 4 are so high up the pitch you could get a cruise liner behind them 1 long punt and it's like the keystone cops were running back with our arses facing the attacker it's beyond amateur.

Those highlights are a grim 3 minutes

We are really bad!!

We need to get real and be thinking about the relegation scrap more than playoff push

That's unless we start making some decent signings but that's looking unlikely

I'm still 100% Dougie, but the team selection, particularly the choice to have one isolated frontman yesterday wasn't good, and we didn't seem to have any game plan whatsoever. Wheater and Mills finished the season well as a partnership, so I'd like them to be first choice when Wheater is fully fit. Wasn't impressed with Dervite; just seemed to kick it as hard as he could when he got hold of it, amateur defending for the third and his miss from six yards was comical.

I've started to really dislike Medo. Thought we'd got a bargain at the back end of his first season, but it's all been downhill since then and I don't see what he offers. His passing was great when he first joined and it's been attrocious ever since.

I've seen enough now. I'd get Chris Powell in.

If we're looking at replacements, and I certainly won't be for a few months, I'd be looking at Chris Hughton if he was still available.

Anyone who thinks an opening day result defines a season only needs to think back a couple of seasons to QPR away.

I'll wait until we are five or so in, then I'll make a decision about whether I'm screaming for blood. Of course, by then the boo boys will probably have shot the players' nerves to pieces. But that's Bolton for you.

Having had chance to reflect and read some of the dire indictments from respectable posters I'm fearing for us we are obviously short in the squad but the inconsistent application of key and regular starters is the worry.....unable to inspire in adversity and too clever for his own good are starting to ring loud - it's ridiculous in a way but if these next two home games don't have a level of performance it's gonna get messy

Well we have actually got 3 home games in a week now. This will make or break it I reckon. There needs to be at the bare minimum signs of improvement/progress.

I will never boo or publicly call for the managers head etc but a lot of others will and I predict it will happen before the end of this 3 game stretch if Dougie doesn't get his head out of his arse ASAP.

Might sound about as likely as winning the lottery at the moment but 3 straight wins could spark the fire looking at it from the optimistic side.

Anyone who thinks Saturday was a one off and that those pissed off with Freedman are solely due to that needs to give their head a shake n vac

We appear to be back at blaming the fans again. I suppose it's our fault we started with Craig Davies; our fault Ream can't defend; our fault Lonergan was indecisive; our fault that Medo can't pass wind; our fault that our holding midfield pair were 30 yards off CD all game......I could go on but you get the idea....
