paulhanley Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Eagles training with Blackpool, you know what's going to happen.... He surely wouldn't be fit enough to feature even if they sign him....? Quote
davidjack Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Where did they put us? My memory was always that it was home fans only for a few weeks that season...the crowd that day was only about 32k I think... Quote
Zico Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) Remember a few doing that against QPR when we gained promotion. They didnt like it. Posted it before But that was v funny Easter weekend so few QPR did fancy dress Remember watching bolton getting chased and kicked round the embankment by a bloke in a fez/gown and spiderman Think bowtun baked said he was in there One thing I used to "like" when the opposition scored a goal was watching the away fans reaction on the embankment When it was full it looked mental as they just steamed around in all directions Edited November 12, 2014 by ZicoKelly Quote

paulhanley Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Bolton here, Bolton there, Bolton every fucking where Didn't that little ditty used to end with something like: "na, na, na, naaaaa, na na na naaaaa, na na na" ? Quote
gonzo Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 One thing I used to "like" when the opposition scored a goal was watching the away fans reaction on the embankment When it was full it looked mental as they just steamed around in all directions Remember Newcastle fans going bananas in that 3-1 first season in prem. ...and Everton when rideout scored. ...and forest when cooper scored. I could go on quite a bit here. Big followings loved it that year. Quote

I could go on quite a bit here. Big followings loved it that year. Most manic celebrations I ever saw on the Embankment was Leeds in 78/79. Bloke called Ray Hankin put them 0-1 up in the first half and they went mental. We them stuffed them 3-1 in the second half. And they went mental in a different way. Quote

gonzo Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Maybe it's because it's still fresh in my mind but I honestly don't think I've seen anything like that away against Brum last season. Easily the pottiest celebration I've seen in the away end. I thought the stand was going to collapse. Quote
davidjack Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Ours at their place in 2011 was pretty special too. Quote
gonzo Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Ours at their place in 2011 was pretty special too. Aye. Couldn't see that one though as I was burried under 20 blokes at the bottom of a flight of stairs :-) Quote

Garrp Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It's not the away fans but this for me will never be beaten. reckon i've watching it 500 times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sst14_XOeDA Quote
paulhanley Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Was that when Flynn was sent off while sparko I think that one was the season after .... 79/80. Our relegation season from the old Div One. It was a 1-1 draw. Remember a Leeds fan setting off a yellow flare in the away end. Quote
EyesRight Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Unbelievable those Garrp. The reebok is really missing a moment like that, one of those and it really will feel like home to a lot of the older fans. The two late winners against Blackburn in recent years don't even come close to what the Watford fans must be going through there. Quote
gonzo Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 another video of it That's the best thing I've ever seen. That clip from the crowd is exactly why we all do what we do. Fucking brilliant garrpo. Quote
paulhanley Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I can't get to Blackpool. Wasn't that bothered at first but I've read this thread too often now. Gutted I won't be there to see the Bolton turnout. I hope we hammer the cunts. All who have tickets - enjoy every minute. Quote
embankment Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Biggest Bolton support in home end since when? With out doubt Boltons biggest away following since the 60's was.Ewood 1978. Crowd was around 27thou. Estimated Wanderers fans 15000. Darwen end . 100% bolton Blackburn end . 40% bolton Riverside all roverz Main stand . 20% bolton. When worthy scored the place went mental. Quote
embankment Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Rovers average attendance that season was 12 thousand by the way. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I still say our celebration at Wrexham when Savage scores is as bonkers as any. We've all seen the end celebrations but surely someone can do the honours with the goal? Quote
