Whites man
Edit, scum had to play away for two games because a fan chucked a knife from the stretford end against Newcastle on the pitch. At a Reading-Millwall game in the early 70's a hand grenade was lobbed on to the pitch.

freds dad
Tommo thinks they can turn it round? "Alan Thompson's arrival at Bloomfield Road is the product of a long-time friendship with manager Lee Clark. The 40-year-old joined Blackpool as assistant manager following Clark's arrival two weeks ago. Thompson has vast experience in football having made almost 500 league appearances for the likes of Newcastle, Bolton, Aston Villa, Celtic and Leeds United. Since retiring in 2008 he has held coaching roles at Newcastle and Celtic before linking up with Clark at Birmingham this summer. So when his old pal was named as Jose Riga's replacement at Blackpool there was no hesitation. "It was an easy decision to come and join Lee here at Blackpool," he said. "We've known each other for a long time and go back a long way together as friends, our children are friends too. We have a very good relationship and hopefully that can rub off on things here. I've been in for a couple of weeks now and it's been great to be back involved. We didn't have much time before the game against Ipswich but we had more time before Fulham and have some proper time now during this break." While Thompson may have spent most of his career at the top end of football's pyramid, he's taken on a job at Blackpool which is tricky to say the least. The Seasiders lie ten points from safety and rock bottom of the Championship table. And the new assistant boss knows the size of the job which he faces. He said: "It's going to be tough, nothing is going to happen quickly here. But we are going to give it a right good go between now and the end of the season. It's about confidence levels for me here at Blackpool. We need to look at what we did at Fulham and take confidence from that." While many have already written off Blackpool's survival chances, Thompson is adamant there's life in the Seasiders yet. "All we have to do is concentrate on narrowing the gap then once we are there we can set new targets," he explained. "We need to narrow the gap as quickly as possible then when we get a bit closer maybe think about overtaking teams. It's going to be tough, but we are going to give it a right good go." leigh white
Only ever seen Bolton win twice at B/pool, both times in 77, once in the Lancs Cup, and the massive invasion in the League. Missed the 74 trip when we won 2-0, was on a trip to Haydock Park that day and won a bit on Glandford Brigg.
