I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I think it's called the Enterprise National League now.

How quickly they forget.

F.C. Mark Lamar?

Nifty fifties bin man Athletic

Bit late and probably not that big a deal but Declan John had a really decent game for St Mirren v Celtic, they defended manfully and finally caved in on 88 mins to lose 0-1 but he showed he could defend a bit, countless blocks and tackles to stem the tide down his side.

Not to reopen the Declan John is a tosser debate, but yes whenever I've seen him for St Mirren including at Celtic he's looked excellent, takes a lot of set pieces and puts a great ball in.  I know his time here had to come to an end, but god knows how he ended up at Salford.

I think there were questions about his attitude

There were, he seems to have had a word with himself since he went up there and embraced the chance they've given him

nah, you just don't have to try as hard up there to look good

I see the Brighton owner Tony Bloom now owns Hearts. Interesting to see how that goes as he's no mug.

Edit..its 30% ownership

Port Vale v Cardiff tonight

Looks like Thursday night league football is going to be a thing moving forward

Only realised yesterday that we play Reading at home on a Wednesday in a couple of weeks.

I don't think Vela or Bakayoko got the memo 😀

Know what you mean re some of the teams but they were playing Celtic, at least comparable with the highest level he was at down here

Port Vale playing well v Cardiff without turning it into a goal, been unlucky two or three times, including with an offside decision just now

Liam Gordon having a great game at left back

Have they changed the side of camera at Vale or are away fans in the opposite end now?

I think they've switched the away end as the dug outs are still on the side below the cameras

That's twice the lino has fucked it.

Cardiff a bit of a flurry last 15 mins but Vale unlucky not to win. Played simple, direct, quick football, forced a lot of set pieces but done it all well bar the finishing touch

So like us against Stockport then on the whole?

According to bbc sport Cardiff formation 3-3-3-1 !

Cardiff reminded me of us last season.

They couldn't handle Vale being in their faces.

Should've won Vale. Not offside for me late on.

Anyway, we'll be glad pre-season friendlies are over. Won't we?

Vales kit looked very good

Another great set of results going our way last night. No team pulling away 😂
