I take it the sarcasm of that nickname passed you by? 😂 He used to get tonnes of grief, and in reality he really wasn’t that good a player, particularly when we were relying on him up top. Must say though that I always liked him because he was a proper grafter and was happy to just play wherever he was told to.

I'm fairly sure he played against us for Wrexham when we got promoted in 88.  There's a good tribute on BBC:

The plan has long been for no prem games at 3pm on Saturday. So they can all be on the telly.

tbf, there's a few saturdays where there's 8 games on - 12.30, 6 at 3, and 8.00

makes MOTD decent at least

The blackout is only in place if the PL is playing as well
