August 6, 20251 yr Bit late and probably not that big a deal but Declan John had a really decent game for St Mirren v Celtic, they defended manfully and finally caved in on 88 mins to lose 0-1 but he showed he could defend a bit, countless blocks and tackles to stem the tide down his side.

Not to reopen the Declan John is a tosser debate, but yes whenever I've seen him for St Mirren including at Celtic he's looked excellent, takes a lot of set pieces and puts a great ball in. I know his time here had to come to an end, but god knows how he ended up at Salford.

Scottish football doesn't count

August 7, 20251 yr Port Vale playing well v Cardiff without turning it into a goal, been unlucky two or three times, including with an offside decision just now Liam Gordon having a great game at left back Edited August 7, 20251 yr by ianofcleveleys
August 7, 20251 yr Have they changed the side of camera at Vale or are away fans in the opposite end now?

August 7, 20251 yr Cardiff a bit of a flurry last 15 mins but Vale unlucky not to win. Played simple, direct, quick football, forced a lot of set pieces but done it all well bar the finishing touch

August 7, 20251 yr Cardiff reminded me of us last season. They couldn't handle Vale being in their faces. Should've won Vale. Not offside for me late on.
